I got some great ideas on here for my 13 year old so now I'm looking for some help for my 6 year old dd.
I've got some lego. She seems to be in between with her toys, she likes playing with her peppa pig figures and toys even though she doesnt watch it anymore. Are there any older kids type players?
She doesnt like dolls at all, has a bike, scooter and I'm not keen on getting her any screen based gifts.
I thought of a science set but all the reviews are bad on the ones I'm looking at.
Any inspiration??

How about playmobil or Sylvanians? My dc really liked the Schleich bayala figures around that age too.

Other things that were popular with my dds at 6:
Secret diary with a small lock on
Snuggle pencil case with buttons and pop out sections
Harry potter wand with a light up end
Kit to dig gems out of plaster
Orbeez (just the orbeez, the foot spa is rubbish)
Melissa and Doug magic set
Minions fart gun
Polymer clay

My Fairy Garden
Insect Lore Butterfly Garden
Hama Beads
Polly Pocket
Spirograph
Slime kit
Lego Dots

The best science kit for that age is the Galt rainbow lab

Thanks @Stompythedinosaur I was thinking of playmobil, does it fall apart easily once its built?
@Ricekrispie22 thanks Ive never heard of lego dots but she likes lego and the rainbow lab looks great

I don't love playmobil buildings tbh as they do fall apart when knocked (in fairness, this is deliberate so bits don't snap when they are sat on).

The campervan and the swimming pool are both good sets, and the farm is great too.

We have playmobil furniture and accessories inside a wooden dolls house. Playmobil and Sylvanians are roughly similar scale so they can use the same stuff.

My dds love busy books - they are a book with 10/12 little figures and a playmat. Usually £5/6 in supermarkets/whsmiths. Can get them on ebay but are around £11. Worth it for my dds!

We've had them since they were 2/3 and still get used by my 11 and 8 year old.

Otherwise they've enjoyed moshi monsters, shopkins, littlest pet shop, my little pony, retro kinder egg toys, puppy in my pocket over the years. Or various film/tv toys such as how to train your dragon, superheroes, funko minis (Harry potter), pokemon, disney.

For science kits look at learning resources.

If she likes Lego and science, the Lego Knex STEM kits are great. Snap Circuits are also really good. My DD has both.

Lego space station set is great play value and introduces loads of ideas about space exploration/science. Might your dd like it?

We got snap circuits for my DD (6) during lockdown. She needs some help with them, but it’s been a hit. She also loves any kind of notebooks, pencil cases with hidden bits etc. Sylvanian families get played with a lot too, I prefer it to play mobile as the sets seem to fall apart after an hour and never get made again, although she does play with the accessories (people, animals, food etc).

She’s also really into playing game now. frustration, uno and Dobble have all been hits.
