What will you get your 15 year old boys this year?

I'm stuck! Teenage DS, with little interest outside the world of pc, not interested at all in sports.
I know it's early, but I need some ideas so I can start saving/planning ahead.
Main present is taken care of, but I need ideas for a few other bits for under the tree...

I have a very similar 14 year old, he's been getting chocolate and money since he was 10.

PS5 /Xbox Series X is probably top of the list for many 15yo this Xmas

I started getting each of my children a piece of art work for Christmas when they were young. Based on their interests, such as nature, animals, dragons, whatever, I'd get them a framed signed print or sculpture, etc. They are in their 20's now and they have a nice art collection. They both really love the pieces given to them because they reflect that time in their lives.

Not mine, very much PC gamers in my house. Already spent a fortune on custom builds over previous years... PS3 was the last console bought and hardly played with, showed no interest in ps4/Xbox/NintendoSwitch when any of them were new. :/

I do like this idea, not sure my two would go for it, but I may well try it and see how well it goes down this year.

I personally don't like giving money, but thats personal choice... I think maybe because I like seeing presents under a tree and money just doesn't have the same effect. I am aware however that says more about me than anything. I might just ask if DS would prefer cold hard cash.

It's also hard as younger DC still appreciates presents and is easy to buy for with lots of interests, so will have a pile, while older DC have more expensive tastes and fewer interests, and I'd hate for it to look like they have less under the tree, or sit and watch younger sibling opening presents when they have none left... Again, this says more about me than them, as I know full well they won't mind that and will be happy with the situation...

I think I need to let go of my own 'ideals'

I'd prefer to buy a few presents too, but DS doesn't want anything if I ask him or suggest ideas. He just sees no value in 'things' beyond essentials and prefers the money. He spends some of it on pc games online, street food, and activities with friends (before lockdown) but saves more than he spends.

Agree with @One2Three4Five6 mine is hoping for a PC. To game on mainly as well as school work

Just bought my 14ds this huggle Sherpa fleece blanket hoody... for lounging around in.
Got some Calvin Klein undies in Costco also for him. That’s it so far

Never mind the kids, a sherpa fleece jumper thing is on MY own wishlist.

Again, wouldn't suit my boys though, they are wandering about in shorts even in winter (bloody mad things! I'm layered up as much as possible!)

Thank you all for input.

ChaoticCatling Sounds like my DC, just doesn't seem to want anything, not necessarily a bad thing I suppose as it means less clutter... and less waste.

I usually get a few books they are interested in, but novels more books you can just pick up and flick through. I bought him a retro gaming book year and he seemed to like that

LazyDaisy10 · 22/06/2020 08:16

**not novels!
