Toiletry brands for 16 year old boys

Dsis has suggested toiletry stuff for DN for Christmas. Sounds very boring but he's suddenly become interested in hanging out with girls and his appearance and due to Dsis & GPs clubbing together for a very expensive gift, he won't have anything else from them to unwrap. How about Ted Baker ?

Have a 15 year old boy myself but he's no use at all in this area.

Ted Baker might be ok
Calvin Klein?
Bulldog for a cheaper option

Superdry Gift Set in Boots.

Mine really likes the mini fragrance sets you get at boots, other than that, anything BUT Lynx which is naff now apparently

SouthWestmom · 18/12/2019 10:25

My 17 yr old (plays rugby, quite sporty, interested in clothes and brands) uses Lynx (Shock) for general spray stuff, Armani 'perfume' for men, and herbal essence hair stuff. Aside from the perfume (will remember the right name soon) I don't think they are that bothered on brands for body stuff.

TK Maxx sometimes has American Crew stuff?

Oh and he hates toiletry gift sets - dreads opening them and having to be grateful, would rather have money or a voucher for eg River Island.

FCUK does a wash bag and toiletries gif set, but not sure if it would be cringy to send/ receive. Boots do lots of branded gift sets, so depending on the size of your local one, might have lots of different brands / types of sets (fragrance, shower, face, shaving etc..). They have Ted Baker, Superdry and FCUK, as well as sports brands, so may be a good starting point.

I think it's a meh present tbh. Boys don't seem as interested as girls, and are happy with cheap wash stuff.
What about ear phones or a cinema voucher or a huge selection box?

paddlingwhenIshouldbeworking · 18/12/2019 14:44

Thanks everyone - all sorted.

Nothing meh about DN's Christmas though. We have a huge extended family and the children have many aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, grandparents, plus loads of cousins we have stayed close too as adults who know our DC well. DSis has specifically suggested no more chocolate, money or vouchers as the teens in the family get so many, all wrapped up with a selection box and DN isn't even keen on chocolate. Plus he has a weekend/holiday job so isn't short of cash. My own DC - money all the way.

Superdry, hype, lynx all at boots. Superdry ones do smell nice.

SouthWestmom · 18/12/2019 20:26

Sorry op your first post suggested he would be getting one large joint present and then yours. Done be offended! As the owner of two teenage boys a tweenie boy and an adult dd I just know toiletries have been unloved in the past.
