Can anyone recommend any ?

We usually buy Noma Pickwick 40 multicoloured and have 3 sets on the tree .
One failed earlier today, and we replaced it with a spare set .
However another set has gone now and H is not too pleased.

Any garden centre has them. I got mine from home bargains. 3rd year now. Outside ones were from B&M and are on their fourth winter.

We have John Lewis lights. About 7 years old now.

Do you have a B and M bargains near you. I saw some in one today.

I've got some lovely ones from B&M. They are tiny little warm white LED ones on green wire (you can get gold and silver wire ones too).

Tesco. All reduced. Have plug in and battery ones. 8 sets in total. Come with batteries and indoor and outdoor. Sure cheap.

Was gutted to discover my Aldi lights that I git three years ago had died. Picked 400 (35m) warm white reduced to £13 in b&q yday. They also had coloured and ice white. Look nice on the tree but next year will tell if they cope being would back up and shoved in a box for a year

We love ours from the range, had them for a few years now.

Thing is, it's all very well saying 'everywhere does them' but if the OP is used to her soft, glowing Noma Pickwicks with (evil unecological) incandescent bulbs then any sort of LED lights will be a harsh awakening.

OP, I've had two sets of Pickwick lights (ebay, bloody expensive for the number of actual bulbs) and one set failed on the tree last year, a week after I'd bought it. Gutted, as it's almost impossible to find LED coloured lights that don't burn your corneas out. I managed to get two strings of old fashioned colour lights at a charity shop this week and they're great.

All I can suggest, if you don't want LEDs, is eBay. But I wouldn't get any more Noma incandescent sets because I don't think they're reliable.

The lights I have on one of my trees (traditional fairy bulb lights) came from Primark several years ago, 100 lights for a fiver also got some smaller 20 set lights from the pound shop at the same time....searched everywhere for them as the only stipulation I had was they must contain pink bulbs like we had in the 80s.
Have only had to change 2 bulbs since I had them.

But having changed to a larger tree last year, bought some pastel leds from Tesco to mix in and although they are a tad brighter they do kind of match the fairy lights.

Thanks @GlomOfNit .
We are more ecological in other ways.

I try to offset my evil incandescent bulbs by buying dried goods in refill shops and only putting the tree up in mid-December.

I love the pickwick ones but one of my two sets also failed this year only their second year. I got another set against my better judgement but I did need 2 to cover the tree. They’re the ones I remember as a kid and I love them but I might have to go back to the white led ones if these don’t last.
