Can anyone recommend online retailers who will deliver gift wrapped to another address?

I'm housebound and not able to post stuff or see certain people at the moment.

So ideally it would be good if I could order gifts online that retailer wraps and delivers to my intended recipients.

Are there retailers that do this?

Not on a tight budget but not made of money either!

I'm also just plain not used to dealing with anyone except amazon but I only like using amazon for certain things.

Hoping you wonderful lot can help

It’s rather late to be asking re online retailers as Christmas is only 10 days away
What type of gifts are you looking for?

LuxuryWoman2018 · 15/12/2019 17:34

What type of gifts?

Graphista · 15/12/2019 17:34

Yes I realise last minute!

As for what gifts - desperate for ideas too! Have another thread running on that as my lot very hard to buy for!

Is this your parents or other people too?

If you give us an idea of your budget and intended recipients perhaps we’ll have some good ideas.

Ellmau · 15/12/2019 18:14

Amazon does it.

Ah, I was going to say Wicked Uncle, who are great for this, but it is a kids shop.

What does your daughter like? I wonder if there are little independent retailers on places like Etsy or Notonthehighstreet who would do this?

Graphista · 15/12/2019 19:18

What does dd like? Ugh so hard to know. It's my fault I can't seem to retain the info.

She's into a certain type of music - she goes to gigs and raves, I would be clueless buying for specific events but I have debated creating an electronic "iou" image or gif where I promise next time there's a gig she wants to go to I pay for tickets - but I'm also not sure on the prices! Just browsed to find an idea, prices seem to be min £20 but can be as much as £50 so I'd need to put a price limit on it - any creative types willing to help with this please do pm me!

She is also very into the beauty thing, very good at doing hers and others make up, several people have said she should be a make up artist she can even do special effects and Halloween stuff really well. But I am clueless as to products and brands.

I used to know but...we've had a difficult year in terms of our relationship and are going through a patch of not talking as much as we used to Sad things gradually getting better but it's been a rough one.

There's also scents she likes which are already on my list that I get her every year.

I also normally get her new pj's, slippers and dressing gown, new mug with hot choc stuff for Christmas Eve, normally get this stuff from primark & supermarket but primark don't do online so recommendations would be great. I'm not keen on buying clothes from amazon as had many sizing issues with that. I'd say she's maybe max size 10 for that kinda thing - she's closer to a dress size 6-8 but likes certain clothes to fit loosely, she's also very tall 6'3" last time she was measured a few months back so clothes buying can be very tricky.

I also like to get her hat/scarf/gloves as stocking filler as she won't buy that stuff herself but then moans she's cold come jan snows!

I'm also thinking an "iou" for her to get good boots in January - shoe buying she needs to do herself as she has a disability and has to wear orthotics and shoes have to be very supportive.

I’m mid-forties with a small child, so pretty clueless, largely, about what’s hip these days!!

I can recommend a free site you could do a really professional-looking IOU/voucher on: try Canva.com. It’s really easy to use, has a free version that still has loads of cool templates and functionality.

Re make-up, I think Glossier is a good, mid-market range that is fairly cool, but also good quality. Also Tarte (which you can get on QVC, they have good-quality sets). At the budget end, Revolution are v good and seem to keep up with trends. You can get it from Superdrug.

Not sure re pjs etc, sorry.

Tolleshunt · 15/12/2019 21:59

Btw, i’m sorry to hear the relationship has been uneasy, but glad to hear it is mending. I think your list of proposed ideas sounds really thoughtful. You obviously really care about getting her things she will love, and hopefully she will realise that.

Graphista · 15/12/2019 22:10

Thank you I will try that site you recommend I'm not good at arty stuff but would be good to do something like that

Gradually things are improving but it's been a horrible year for that and many other reasons be glad to see the back of it!

Tolleshunt · 15/12/2019 22:13

I only good at arty stuff either, but it didn’t take me long to get the hang of it, they have loads of templates, and there are short tutorials online.

If you have trouble and can’t find the answer, I may be able to help, just ask.

I’ll be glad to see the back of 2019 too. Hope we have some roaring twenties to come!

Tolleshunt · 15/12/2019 22:14

I’m NOT good at arty stuff, that was meant to say!

ChristmasSpiritsOnThRocksPleas · 15/12/2019 22:16

T2 sells lovely tea and tea wares and does this. Beauty Pie also does this for skincare, cosmetics and candles.

Graphista · 15/12/2019 23:55

I will have a look and a "play about" on that site tomorrow.

2010's have been pretty shit for me and my family DEFINITELY hoping for positive 2020's
