Christmas with a newborn

Have just given birth to my dd and am not ready for Christmas yet.
I got most of the presents but not all of them and now I don't know how I'm going to manage. I don't think I could bare wandering the shops. I can do some online but just need stocking fillers for my other 6 dc.
And then there's the wrapping. I'm exhausted as it it.
The time has just come round so quick.
What am I gonna do.

Buy everything on Amazon or eBay - you should be able to order everything including stocking fillers to you.

Skip wrapping, or get the baby's father to do it if he's around.

You’re amazing just having 7 dc never mind Christmas Grin

Do as much as your can on amazon. Especially if you can afford/already have prime.

Any relatives or friends you can delegate to?

Ready filled stockings from hawkins bazaar. Buy online.

I got all my stocking fillers in Tesco, chocolate coins, selection boxes, tubes of sweets, bubble bath, cheap Tesco own brand games, books........ Could you get to the supermarket and do a quick 30 minute run around.

Do you have any friends going into town that could pick things up that you've seen online.

I have a six month old baby and I just wrap here and there, when baby is sleeping I'll do a few things. Ask your OH or PIL to help too.

this is exactly where we were last year. newborn and 6 older children.

As others have said. Amazon prime is worth every penny, Hawkins Bazaar for stocking fillers... people will definitely be reasonable about what is expected of you.

I agree to get DP/DH to help! Or are your older dc old enough to help with wrapping the younger ones' or other family members' presents? You could make it a competition for who could do neatest, best etc with a (very small!) prize? That would only leave you with their presents to wrap.

I felt like this when my daughter was born on the 6th a couple of years back but only had my son to worry about. Write a list ie stocking fillers. Get oh to help. Maybe wrap half of the stocking. You can do most of it in your local supermarket. Search online so your not wandering around and know what to get.

Bless you, enlist some santa helpers. If the children are older you could ask them to pop to the shops for some stocking fillers for the younger ones. You could also ask them to help wrap.

I love online shopping! As others have said Ebay, Amazon, Asda, Tesco etc. I think there are even some pound shops online.

Be kind to yourself and I'm sure Christmas will be wonderful for everyone involved.
