I'm thinking of doing Japanese style fabric wrapping this Christmas, does anyone else do it already?

Any tips? I'm a quilter so have quite a bit of suitable fabric in my stash plus the means and ability to hem it nicely or make bags with ribbon ties.

I have an increasing stash of drawstring bags and hemmed fabrics in various sizes for wrapping. I tend to look on Pinterest for clever tying ideas.

I'm going to make some ala Happywrap - just need to get some ribbon.

They do knot wrap things in lush. The staff are usually happy to show you how to wrap things up with the fabric scarfs and stuff they have and how to tie them nicely. Plus the materials are nice :)

I wouldn't bother making Bags, somehow untying knots is more like an unwrapping than looking in a bag.

I'm a quilter too and have been doing this for a few years. There are loads of helpful pins on Pinterest and vids on YouTube

Thanks all, I'll concentrate on making squares rather than bags and have a good look through YouTube.

My son got a birthday present in a drawstring bag with a bow and it was just lovely. I think it will see a lot of use because it's so easy, whoever we gift it to will be able to use it without faff. Might just use it on him again tbh. Blush
