Where can I find properly warm white Christmas fairy lights?

Help!

I’ve bought several sets of ‘warm white’ Christmas lights over the years but none are truly lovely and warm.

Currently I have Homebase ones - more just ‘white’. And i tried Wilko ones - but they have a weird green tinge. JL had some that looked promising this year but they’ve sold out, as have a few other places I’ve looked at. And I don’t want to randomly order any more online without a recommendation as pictures are totally unhelpful.

I am after:

600-ish lights on a single cable for indoors, ideally single lights (not clusters) over c 25m of cable (but at least over 20m so they cover the tree properly). I’m looking for a really nice warm buttery white, bordering on yellow.

I’d like similar for outside, but ideally around 1000 lights and I’m not so fussed about them being spread out in any particular way.

Any recommendations? If there are some really good ones but sold out I’d still like your recommendations as I may just have to make do this year and shop earlier next year. Many thanks!

You need to visit your local garden centre.
They'll have loads to see and choose from.

IMO the only really nice colour ones are non LED.

I’m not after colour ones, just warm white. But properly warm.

I don’t have much in the way of garden centre here (v urban), it’s mostly just Homebase /B&Q and they’ve not been quite what I’ve wanted so far.

I got these ones from The Range. I would say they are truly "warm white" not sure if it shows properly on the picture. They were £14.99 for 400 and £9.99 for 240.

Ours are very warm white almost cream/yellow, they are the “frosted” ones from b&m. Have similar for outside and both sets are indoor/outdoor

Our garden centre has some this year called Vintage Gold and they are really warm looking! Almost a pinky yellow which makes them really soft. They are made by Premier, if that helps.

Another vote for The Range! I also didn't want harsh white and found these ones perfect. Our local shop had them all on display 😊

Asda have some but not that many on one string so you would need to buy more than one set

Argos do good warm white ones

ChristmasSeacow · 06/12/2019 12:32

Thanks for the replies. I like the sound of those Premier vintage gold ones, I will see if I can find any of them.

I just picked up a set in Sainsburys but appear to have come home without it 😫

I have these ones in my garden. They run off a battery pack as well as being solar powered, so can be used indoors.

SpamChaudFroid · 06/12/2019 12:45

*a rechargeable battery pack I should have said.

ChristmasSeacow · 06/12/2019 18:16

I’ve ordered some vintage gold ones for outside. If they are what I’m after I’ll get some more for the tree for next year (tree is already dressed with the slightly green Wilko’s lights and I haven’t got the heart to strip it all down this year). The Range ones looked nice but I don’t have one that’s easy to get to so I’ll try these first.

I’ll be so chuffed if they are the colour I’m after!

These ones from House of Fraser are lovely. There are lots of them on the string - covered my 9ft tree completely.
