Posting presents (UK)

I'm now not going to see one part of our family over Christmas. Its important I do get the presents to them though. I can't find the receipt anywhere, otherwise I could return them and get them delivered directly. What is the most economical way to post them ? 2 presents are tiny, but 2 are mid-size lego sets (£30-40ish).

You need to pack them, weigh and measure them and compare prices using an online parcel comparison website. Check RM prices too. Don't forget insurance.

Is anyone you know going to see the recipients and could they take the gifts for you?

I'd just post them with Royal Mail tbh, Hermes and yodel might be cheaper but I've always found them less reliable and it's much harder to get a resolution from them when something does go wrong than with Royal Mail.

It depends on the weights. Royal Mail can be very expensive on heavier items, and have things go missing at this time of year just like every other delivery service.

I posted twenty items with Hermes last week and all were delivered without a problem.

Thanks. No, unfortunately no-one will see them now. Will do some weighing and measuring. I didn't realise you could compare prices online. Just got the boxes out of the cupboard and they're bigger than I remember. Oh well.
