Stocking ideas for teenagers

Hi, I need inspiration!

5 teenagers between us, 2 over 18. They still get stockings (no they dont believe!) In which I put some useful stuff and some fun stuff.

Every year I end up spending too much to fill them in a last minute panic. Any ideas in cheap stuff that is bulky would be great! They get their main present during the day.

The basic is:

Deodorant/ shower gel set
Pens
Book
Chocolate gift set
Any other tat that I see when out but often costs more than I wanted it too!

Thank you for any inspiration you can give me! I really don't want the last minute panic this year

Oh, and a few years ago I started buying stocking things in February! It's been a life saver!

Mine always need a cool new Oyster card holder, and new note books.

I think people must use the phrase "stockings" to mean different things

Yes, I was going to add that here we celebrate St Nicolas on 6th Dec when DC traditionally receive chocolate, biscuits, marzipan and clementines in their slippers , which is the equivalent of the UK stocking I suppose. ( It's a school day so we've always celebrated it , so dd doesn't feel different from her classmates. ) So in order to incorporate British traditions too, our "stocking" is really 50% of the presents we would be giving ordinarily, it's just that DD receives them in two halves and the first half is shoved in a red and white striped sock!

Some of the teens in my Irish family receive their first haul in pillowcases which always contain pants, socks, PJs, maybe a jumper, a selection box, and a massive board game.

And DD has some French friends who receive very elegant small "stockings" on Christmas Eve (when they have their main Christmas dinner) but they are filled with rather expensive things like jewellery, and cosmetics and that is their main and only present.

I agree with Trewser that picking things out for the stocking throughout the year makes the whole thing so much easier.

I was inspired by the Franglais thread Trewser - I changed my name from the English equivalent specially and then never posted on it.

We do quite an expensive stocking too, don’t see the point in tat and do tend to put a few bigger (in price/popularity in there)

My 13 year old has

Olivier Bonas earring
Books
Gourmet marshmallows
Costa card
Chameleon pens
Some expensive face blogger products that I can’t remember the name off
Calvin Klein crop tops
New purse
Lush bath bombs
Pants
Sweeties
Scrunchies
Adhesive dots for scrapbook
Printing paper for sprocket.
