Philip Scofield and four families road test the 'top' toys this year. Sponsored by the Entertainer.

The toys look universally crap so far.

Apparently the average stocking spend for children is £71!

Harry Potter invisibility cloak for £60 can be easily recreated by using a green screen app and a green shower curtain 😊

So so crap! Naff remote control and battery operated toys that are adored on Christmas Day and half of Boxing Day then gather dust under the bed. Now boring stereotypes with three boys testing Spiderman outfits and three girls testing Elsa costumes.

I agree. Ugh.

No mention of the environmental impact of buying all this shite and it's all so expensive!

Forgot to add this stuff drives me mad, this rampant throwaway consumerism should be discouraged especially with the current climate crisis. It's all plastic! I can't believe how irresponsible this sort of show is. All sponsored by a toy shop so basically one massive advert. I don't usually watch this sort of thing but I flicked over to ITV and couldn't believe how utterly shit this is.

Glad it's not just me @BeepOpsiePie

we haven't watched this episode yet but me and the girls enjoyed last year's made them think twice about some of the things they put on their lists. plus they showed the packaging from loads of blind bags which was awful to see the amount of waste.

and £78 on stockings that's crazy!! looking forward to watching with my girls to see the crazy must haves for this year 😁
