Making/doing gifts for 9 and 10 year old boys

I'm doing really well on the present front but now that my boys are past the toy stage I'm struggling with a gift they can each "play with" on Boxing Day.

With recent birthdays I feel we've exhausted Lego, 3D building kits (which they love) and Science Museum type experiments.

Don't want to spend too much as they have a pile already but looking for something, ideally for each of them, that can keep them busy.

Worth adding we traditionally have a pyjama day on Boxing Day so no experience type stuff and we already have a new family game and puzzle planned. (Not sure drones or other remote type toys are the answer either).

I'd be SO grateful for ideas. Thank you!

May not seem very exciting but slime? Keeps them busy for hours!

Baking stuff? Brownie mix, chocolate chips etc.

A canvas each and some paints?

Think fun games? They are mainly games for one player. Think computer games but made out of plastic.

Or Lego Architecture seems popular with those too old for normal Lego.

Finally. I'm buying DS10 a make your own cheese kit!

A Turing Tumble (to share)

Thank you for all those ideas.

@alliejay81 brilliant!! We have had some Think Fun and IQ Games over the years and they are v popular and you're totally right Lego Architecture has definitely been the toy of the year for both. But Make Your own cheese kit is GENIUS. My 10 year old will adore that. Thank you so much. That's perfect.

@SoftSheen I hadn't heard of the Turing Tumble but having looked it up my 9 year old would go crazy for it. But it's so expensive! Do you have one? Is it a bit of a one hit wonder? How robust is it? The Marble Run is actually one of the few toys that still comes out so maybe it would be something that would be worth the investment. Thank you. Great suggestions

If you have a Switch, then Nintendo Labo kits are great.
