Gift for a gardener / birdwatcher

My DF is in his 70s and got an allotment last year. He has all the basic stuff he needs, but are there any decent present ideas he may appreciate? I’ve seen hori hori trowels mentioned on here, are they worth buying? He just grows vegetables, if that matters.
Alternatively, any birdwatching gifts?

Not an expensive gift but one that has gone down very well with friends I have given them too. A bug/bee hotel. I buy some bee/butterfly friendly flowers to go with them and have received several happy reports of the guests living in them.

Not sure how much you want to spend but I’ve seen little birdhouse/nesting box cameras mentioned on some other threads...

I think that trowel is fab. Nearly twitched on that for my mum.
Do either of you live by the sea? Seaweed is THE best compost. A bag of stuff washed up of the beach would go down well plus it’s free. Perfect to put on this time of year. You can buy it already dried.

Something to carry his loot in? Trugs or buckets or something? Allotments always invoke carting stuff around. Bench to sit on whilst he’s down there?

Have a swift box installed. They need to go quite high up, but they are very worthwhile.

A weed puller claw if he doesn't already have one. If he likes growing large veg, some seeds or a gift voucher for Medwyns (prize winning monster veg grower) may go down well. Gardening gloves are always a safe bet, but it's rarely worth spending too much on them as they don't seem to last in my experience.

A gardening tool belt to keep all his stuff together with some nice labels for the veg?

A wildlife camera/birdbox camera?

Nice bird feeders, or one that sticks to the window so you see the birds up close and personal?

Binoculars?

I think these are really lovely bird houses & would make a great gift:
