Ponycycle - anyone got one?

Ok so , have a 7 year old (tall for their age ) who has always coveted either the ponycycle or a “car they can drive themselves”
We never had the space or an area for these things before and I feel this might be the last year they would be able to enjoy them
( have a younger child who would later inherit the toy so not a total waste of money)
So , does anyone have a ponycycle was it worth the money?
I’m looking at hover boards with the little cart either but the ponycycle promotes a bit of exercise- or should I just stick with a good ole fashioned bike?

We don't have one, but it's the only thing (besides a phone or laptop!) that my 8yo has asked for (and has saved most her pocket money for the last 6 months to try and buy for herself!) . I'm so torn as want to enjoy this last little but of time of "toys" for Christmas, but so many reasons not to as well! I was determined I wasnt going to relent, but now monitoring Ebay for used ones to prevent an expensive last minute twitch Hmm

That’s my mentality too if one came up on a second hand page I’d be severely tempted

We have one. It's amazing. All the kids love it and it's adored by kids who come to play at our house. I thought it was expensive when I bought it but not now, it is worth it. I'm keeping our forever (grandchildren?!)

I think an 8 year old might be getting a bit big? Ideal age I would say is 3/4 to 6/7. My nearly 8 year old boy still enjoys a gallop. It's not suitable for tiny ones because you need a bit of coordination to make it move.

Our kids ride it up and down the hallway and round the kitchen. Sometimes up the patio outside.

We bought dd a unicorn one last year and she loves it. She is just about to turn 8 and is not too big for it. You have to remember it has no brakes so they are really not suitable for younger kids.
My eldest dd is 10 and she often has a go, and anytime we have friends kids over its always very popular.
I debated with myself last year about buying one but it definitely was money well spent.
