@TrixieFranklin

Ummm, well, I send the ones in the post on December 1st (for abroad,) and around the 8th (for inland.)

Then I drop off cards related to business/acquaintances, on around the 12th.

Then family, friends, colleagues and neighbours around 17th. Smile

Normally take a pic of the dc round some Christmas display or other (this year we happened to be by fortnums so did it there but it’s usually a garden centre or tesco tree!). Once I’ve got round to ordering a few of those to go in I post. Usually by about 6/7 dec.

At the end of the first week of December approximately

I don't! Had enough of writing then faffing about hand delivering them, or posting those too far away. When the cost of cards and stamps got to £20 one year I stopped. I now spend £20 on groceries and donate to the local food bank. I would highly recommend, it's liberating!

AgeLikeWine · 28/11/2019 19:04

We don’t.

Christmas cards are a waste of time, money and trees. The number of cards we sent and received dwindled over the years to the point that we called a halt to the nonsense a few years ago. If I want to send good wishes to someone at Christmas, I will do so via phone, text or social media.

I was in a coffee shop today and saw a woman handing hers out ! Confused
I post mine through the neighbours doors Christmas week.
Posted ones about 3 days before last post before christmas.

MamaWeasel · 28/11/2019 19:26

1st december as a rule, though i did see two friends last week who i would normally post a card each to, so i gave them theirs early to save postage.
I love giving and receiving christmas cards.

@AgeLikeWine I don't usually either which is why I don't know, we donate to Children with Cancer UK, but my niece is in hospital and would like to make and send cards to school friends this year as it may well be her last Christmas.

Thank you, early December it is!

I hope you all enjoy your festivities, whether you take part of not Star

About 1 week into December - they are all ready to post, so I'm a bit ahead of the game this year Xmas Smile Send DS round to post neighbours' cards one evening in Christmas week. I love Christmas cards and agree that it's a nice way to support your favourite charities.

SparklingXmas · 28/11/2019 20:39

The 1st i love 💓 Christmas!

reluctantbrit · 28/11/2019 20:42

We normally don't send cards apart from 3 to elderly relatives.

But in your case I would do it the first week in December so her friends can have them up for a while until they go in the bin.

ChristmasAngst · 29/11/2019 06:55

I'm posting mine in the next few days to get that chore ticked off the list.

Flowers for your niece, how kind and thoughtful of her - she sounds lovely. Her friends will cherish them.
