Cards against humanity

My nephew has just asked for these for his bday just before Xmas. Already bought him a gift but feel like I need to get this too now that he’s asked! Don’t really want to spend £25 on Amazon it I can buy elsewhere...any ideas people?

How old is he?

John Lewis have it a fiver cheaper at £20. Maybe you have a credit card with them to get the points and or vouchers?

We bought it for DS a couple of Christmases ago - it was an instant hit and everyone from grandparents downwards played. He brought it out at his granddad's World Cup party with the neighbours too, it was definitely worth the money for the entertainment. We got his from Forbidden Planet and I think it was £18.

Are you familiar with the nature of cards against humanity, plz say your nephew is over 18!

How old is he? It's defo not a kids' game!

I think if you go to the website, and don't mind the effort you can download and print the cards for free. Then you would only have to buy nice card to print onto?

We play this every Christmas (me, XP, and my (all adult) kids).

Have never laughed so much in my life! My kids think it's hysterical to hear their mother pronouncing something absolutely awful with a straight face, and we have just bought several 'update' editions of the cards (as if it wasn't bad enough!).

But you do need to have a...certain type of family.

It's bad taste but hilarious! We played it with my parents when I was heavily pregnant-almost went into labour I laughed that hard!

It's a brilliant game. We laughed at things that you really shouldn't laugh at.

Which is the best extended version?

Get him the specific British version. It's funnier.

Yes, it has to be the Brit edition (and extensions) if you are a Brit. Some of the US ones made no sense to us - which is why we got the Brit extension packs.
