Was thinking of getting her an ice cream machine and recipe book.
Any better ideas? Smile

How about a Bakedin subscription, I think it’s £25 for a 3 month one.

I got DS these recently, but sounds like you have much larger budget.

2-3 Silicon baking tins?
Bread (dough) mixing machine?

Could you out together her own baking gift set? Mixing bowl containing silicon cake cases, measuring spoons, spatula, appropriate recipe book, apron with her name on? And wrap it all in cellophane.

It was only the lakeland mini ice cream maker I was looking at. I think you need to take the bowl out and put it in the freezer. It's £20. I don't want to get anything too big that would take up too much space.

I looked at the website and it looks like packet mixes? I think she likes proper baking.

It's hard to find something. All baking gift sets are for younger kids.

Thanks for ideas

Put not out

I bought (not this year, but they may still have them) a wooden spoon and spatula personalised with DD's name, which would be good with a baking bundle.

My daughter is the same. At the moment she really wants the Lakeland Campervan mould to make a Christmas gingerbread campervan. You could also try an icing bag kit or cookie cutters etc? Cake pop moulds? Just have a little look around Lakeland!

Make a baking gift hamper for her;

Personalised apron
Personalised spatula
Silicon cases/trays
Pretty cutters

Then put in a £10 Tesco voucher for her to buy the raw ingredients to bake something with her new baking tools/equipment. You could do a really nice hamper for £30/£35.

Could you get her a Bero book? I learned to bake from this and it’s been an accomplishment I’ve always been grateful for.

I wouldn't get an ice cream maker, it won't be used and she can make ice cream without one..

My dds is.into baking and last year I got her nice chocolate / icing moulds, turning table, icing nozzles / bags etc and most importantly some decent food colouring pastes. (( Not cheap but worth it )) I wrapped it all seperately and made it into a hamper using a fancy cake tin (( £3 from wilkos which incidentally is fab for baking stuff ))

A recipe book. Cooking with Coco is a good place to start. Coco is the granddaughter of Anna del Conte and the two do a lot of cooking together, recipes are age appropriate,as Coco is pretty much the same age when the.book was begun. Lots of pix and suggestions.

BeRo book is a great idea. Or Delia’s book of cakes is a real classic...
How about a Kenwood hand mixer? It’s my essential for perfect cakes!

DD has a Bakedin subscription. The dry ingredients are measured in separate bags and you have to get the fresh ones like eggs, butter, cream or fruit.

It is a proper cake and it also teaches a variety of techniques. There is the odd one I need to help with but in general she can do all of them on her own. She is 12 btw.

Yes u also get the recipe card with the exact details of the dry ingredients so you can make it again. So you build yourself a nice baking collection.

A few years ago I did this for a friend:

Buy an oven mitt (the one that's like a glove - I got mine from Cath Kidston so it looked pretty), turn it upside down and fill it with pretty baking bits. E.g. silicone spatula, cookie cutters, patterned cupcake cases etc.
You can arrange everything quite nicely, tie a bow around it and it looks like a bouquet (almost Blush)
