Best Crisps

Bit of an odd question but as someone who doesn’t partake in more than the occasional Pringle, are there any crisps out there which are a bit special / unusual? It’s a joking stocking filler for a crisp fan in work as part of secret Santa but I feel a bit stingy sticking a packet of Walkers in! Thanks!

Henderson's relish crisps (you may have to get them direct from their website if you don't live in Yorkshire). Sean Bean gets Henderson's bottled by the case load delivered to him (Yorkshire lad). They are really tasty and quite niche!

McCoys without a doubt.

Coop have some pigs in blankets thick crinkle cut crisps - they're very good!

FadingStar · 22/11/2019 17:42

Brannigans Ham and Pickle. The nicest crisps in the world.

Can't beat a ready salted walker imo.

had Yorkshire Cridps while on holiday in Yorkshire (funnily enough) and they were fab. DH doesn't really like crisps but did like these, and they came in a tub, rather than a bag, so felt posh, if that makes sense

Very un-Mumsnetish answers on here.

You are supposed to tell the OP that she is a lazy cow, crisps are very cheap and easy to make yourself, just potatoes and oil. Shake some healthy low-salt salt over them, maybe some pulverised Brussels sprout for extra flavour, recycle some paper bags in which to present them and see the delight on her friend's face.

I second Pipers!

lotusbell · 23/11/2019 18:01

I can also vouch for those Sensations poppadum ones - very very moreish!

Shanith look at St Marcus South African shop online. They do cheesy nik naks. If you live in London then most south African shops do them!

Strictly1972 · 23/11/2019 18:40

M&S do some amazing 3 cheese crisps. Nom nom.

Shannith · 24/11/2019 19:41

@stayingaliveisawayoflife thank you. I have just looked and all I can find is chez naks but only chicken and chutney (!!!) flavour.

My proposal remains open.

Deminism · 24/11/2019 19:52

I was just about to post that very message @TrickyD

A pub near my office did curry flavour Pringles one year in the early noughties and they were super delicious.

stayingaliveisawayoflife · 24/11/2019 21:03

Ok @Shannith I will go to my local one and if they have any I will post them to you!

Wanderingraspberry · 24/11/2019 21:06

Burt's spicy Chorizo are the most amazing crisps ever, but tricky to come by in shops.
