Wrapping paper recommendations

I suspect this is done every year, but I can't find a recent thread.

Has anyone got any good suggestions for wrapping paper this year? I have two small children who can't read yet, so I'm thinking one colour per child. I'm a bit fan of Costco paper, but I've let my membership lapse, so that's no good.

Basically, I want a big roll of red, a big roll of gold, and possibly a big one of either silver or green, preferably one fingers don't go straight through as I can be a touch cack handed at times.

Recommendations? Suggestions? Ones to avoid?

sainburys usually do beautiful paper.I bought mine last year after christmas it becomes so much cheaper.

I like to buy one for the one children under tree presents and one for presents from father christmas for the stocking.

I know what you mean some paper is more like tissue paper but i cant remember were i got shoddy paper last time .I just stuck with what i know to be good quality

I have bought paper from Lidl and studio this year, I won’t be buying from studio again (very thin) but the paper from Lidl is great and not to pricy, not worth spending a fortune when it gets chucked away anyway. Always found wilkonsons pater good quality too.

If you want something a bit special, Cox & Cox do 10 metre rolls for £12.50. There are codes on here for £20 off when you spend £25, so you’d essentially get 20 metres of rather swish wrapping paper for £5 (but postage is another £5 odd on top).

If you’re looking for just normal paper, Sainsburys has some nice rolls and I’ve got some from The Works that I was quite impressed with both the quality and the price.

Another vote for Lidl. You don’t get plain colours, but it is good quality/value and has a helpful grid on the reverse for cutting.

Alternatively google kraft paper - you can buy big rolls of red, green, blue and plain brown kraft paper from lots of online sites. This should recycle well too.

I got 6 rolls from Hema for about £3. Mostly kraft and gold patterns or red.
Why not use kraft paper and different colour ribbons for each of them.

Ikea is great for kraft paper - some with designs and some plain.

John Lewis has some lovely plain Kraft paper. I'll see if I can find a link.

I'll have to look out Lidl. I'm a big fan of wrapping paper that has the grid on the reverse side!!!

Thank you all!!!
