6 year old played with one recently and would really like their own....

Why are they so expensive?!!
For me, they were obligatory in the 80s, everyone had one!
I thought it would be £15/20 max but I'm looking at about £40!!
I'm just worried the novelty will wear off very soon.

They are really hard to draw on too!

To be fair, 6 yr old managed to draw a house! Loves drawing and coloring anyway - but £40?!

They are slightly cheaper on eBay

£40??? That's ridiculous. Everyone used to have them, didn't they? I loved my Dsis's one.
I think they do mini ones, don't they? Might be a bit cheaper?

Second hand ones pop up on ebay quite frequently by the look of things. At the moment they can be had for about £15.

I got DH one from eBay. Much cheaper if you don't mind one not boxed.

Look on BargainMax.

Thanks! Off to google those!

I am seriously impressed by your DD's ability to draw a house.

I was going to come on here to say 'Don't buy one , no one in the history of the world has ever managed to draw anything other than an angular scribble'.

I was wrong!
