Board game for 3.5 year old

Hi

My parents want to buy board games for my children this Christmas. Budget of £25 each.

I've got good suggestions for the 9 and 7 year olds, but really struggling for an idea for 3.5yo DS.

Any suggestions much appreciated. I wondered about buckaroo? But not sure he'd be able to reset it himself.

Greedy gorilla or scarecrow from orchard toys. Or UNO. Good for matching number and colours.

Someone on here suggested cooperative games for that age and we found some good ones. The idea is that everyone works together to achieve a goal, so you all win together or lose together. There's one called Hoot, Owl, Hoot which is fab. There's also a PJ Masks one called "Team of Heroes" which our son loved.

Junior monopoly is good.
Also loved uno at that age - although not a board game.

Yes to the Haba orchard game - the junior version has lovely chunky wooden fruit which are just the right size for little hands. Llamas in pyjamas is fun too.

Funny Bunny! It's brilliant & one that's enjoyable for all to play!!!

Candyland

The orchard shopping list game was played at that age and was played for many years. You're older kids won't mind playing that with them.

Agree with all PPs. Anything by Orchard Games. My two loved the bus one and the supermarket one. Both are in their twenties now so they must be good to stay in the memory so long.
Not expensive either!

Elefun is great and snakes and ladders.

This is great thanks all. We have a few of the Orchard Games. I am leaning towards the ELC monkey game.

Orchard toys have really good and easy to understand games for that age range x

The Orchard Toys range are excellent and many have different levels of play so last a few years.

Or for something a bit different my DS and my nieces have all adored Shave A Sheep which is a Lego game.

This game was a big hit with my 3.5 year old last year.

As was this game.

The adults love them too!

My 3 1/2 year old loves hi hungry hippos, the orchard games, anything like the shopping memory game, pairs (she has the peppa pig memory match game), and jenga, and she loves this monkey falling game similar to kerplunk

Cutesbabasmummy · 19/11/2019 07:45

All the Orchard ones are fab. My DS also loves a P J masks version of Hapoy Families although it's not a board game. He also loves pig goes pop.

Equimum · 19/11/2019 10:57

Going back to my earlier suggestion, the most popular Ot game here has been Pizza Pizza. My eldest was given it for his third birthday and he still chooses it at nearly 7.

I got my (just) 4yo daughter Sleeping Queens, I think for about £7. A pairing game with wands, dragons, sleeping potions.. basically a normal deck of cards with extras. Thought it might help her counting.. she is now 5 and I can barely get her to bed without 3 games and a story!! Worth it for the price, and of course it's easy to make her win if you want to!! I never travel without it now!! Recommend Smile

BeanBag7 · 19/11/2019 18:16

Any orchard toys would be great (and less than £25). My daughter loves Red Dog, Blue Dog and Crazy Chefs.

Or Guess Who?
