Best Food Hampers?

GeordieTerf · 14/11/2019 16:45

Anyone know where I can get nice food/ drink hampers around the £50 mark? They are for elderly relatives.

I usually get them at M&S, but I’m boycotting them. Smile

Have you got any farm shops near you? My local one do amazing hampers, and it feels good to support a local business too.

Costco online hampers are actually really good & you don't need to be a member to buy online.

Tiptree www.tiptree.com/index.php/gifts.html?gift_category=243 or Waitrose

Aldi hampers while not quite as posh are great. Brilliant value and loads in them.

letsjog · 14/11/2019 21:05

Seconding Aldi. You get a lot for your money.
The 59.99 one looks fab.

Also just putting it out there - its nice to make one yourself if you know what they like. Card Factory do a lovely hamper basket with cellophane etc for 5.99 and you can just put what you like in.

Don't mean to derail the thread but may I ask why are you boycotting M&S? @GeordieTerf

@letsjog

M&S have proudly announced that they’re happy for men to use their women’s changing rooms.

I’m not okay with that.

I used the Virginia Hayward website last year, was quite impressed

@GeordieTerf You are ridiculous.

No they have not. They have self contained unisex changing room just like some other shops. Just like charity shops do. Please boycott charity shops too. Im sure you will get a moral high from that.

There is no laws to provide single sex changing rooms and anyone can use what ever changing room they want.

Lakeland do some lovely ones

Gingerkittykat · 16/11/2019 04:12

I just had a look at the Lakeland ones and they are lovely.

I'm going to make my own hamper for someone awkward to buy for. You can buy the hamper and wrapping from loads of places including B and M. That way you don't have the inevitable thing they don't like and can choose whatever you want.

I fully agree with you on the changing room issue, maybe send M and S a photo of your chosen hamper.

If they are slightly more adventurous with their cooking then I can highly recommend souschef excellent quality food and ingredients-I can send you a referral code too for £10 off.

Our local delis and farm shops do hampers, all sourcing local ingredients.

Our local deli even offer a discount if you bring back last years hamper of jars. They’re big into reuse, reduce and recycle. Plus it helps all the small local businesses.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 16/11/2019 16:51

Oh fgs. It's not like everybody just strips off in the open in changing rooms!!!

I know nothing about hampers, but couldn't read and ignore.
