Hi looking for ideas of Xmas stuff I can bake with the help of my two minions (10 and 3).
So far I’ve got mince pies shaped in Xmas trees and scotch eggs. Thanks

Christmas gingerbreads or if you are feeling ambitious it’s got to be a gingerbread house!

'Snowmen' cake pops, iced biscuits in different shapes to hang on the tree, gingerbread, jam tarts and bread rolls are all fairly simple things to make that both those ages can join in with.

Gingerbread Reindeer

Christmas Tree

I'm always tempted to make stained glass biscuits, but have heard differing comments on their success.

Gingerbread tree decorations
chocolate truffles- for presents.
I had a receipe for christmas icecream once which was delicious- possibly an old Delia or Jocelyn Dimbleby

Another vote for the Christmas tree link posted above. I got my cutters from Aldi though.

If you have a silicone or plastic mould you can let the 3 year old loose with a knotted piping bag of slightly cooled melted chocolate and a shaker of sprinkles. Just give the mould a few taps to get rid of the air bubbles before adding the sprinkles. No matter how messy it is once you turn out the moulds it will look lovely.

Every Christmas I bake cranberry and whites chocolate cookies. They are easy to make and the dough freezes well.

Peppermint Creams, shortbread and cookies are popular to make in this house.

We make shortbread stars. Also, you can melt white and dark chocolate (separately) and then pour onto greaseproof paper and use a cocktail stick to make a marbled effect. You can scatter what you like on top (dried cranberries, mini smarties etc) and leave it to set in the fridge. Then break into pieces. Makes a nice gift for grandparents etc.

I do the gingerbread reindeer too. Always popular!

Peppermint bark is a good one with kids too.

Christmas tree rice Krispies cakes. Melt white chocolate and add green food colouring. Stir in rice Krispies until coated and sticky. Using damp hands roll into small cones upside down. Add silver balls / sprinkles. Tah dah - mini edible Xmas trees.
