I know this has probably been done to death but how much do you spend on your DS / DD’s key worker? And what do you get?

My Ds’s key worker I think has gone above and beyond but I want to find a balance between going overboard and being a tight arse!

If she’s the only one you’re buying for, I’d go for about £15.

One of the loveliest present I received was a bag with a message on it. It was a hessian bag with a drawing and message. Otherwise maybe a voucher for a cafe treat or a book voucher. A cafe treat for enough for say a luxury hot chocolate and a delicious cake at a really lovely cafe would be great while doing your Christmas shopping or the sales. Thoughtful presents where you know the person has thought about you and made something up personally. They don't have to cost a lot just show the thought and a lovely card.

Just make sure you write her name and give it personally.

At the nursery i worked at, if we was given chocs, wine, etc, it all had to go into the office and on Xmas Eve, we had a raffle to get one thing.

It annoyed the hell out of me, as me and my colleague worked alone in the (baby room) and we got loads....
Some staff in the other rooms, wouldnt get anything, and we had to share the stuff we got. So out of order.

Something personal is nice.
If your child is old enough, could you get them to draw / paint on a canvas? Or a personalised mug.
If not, a Starbucks / costa voucher.

Dont do chocs / wine 😠😡

a card would be lovely especially one made by the child!

maybe some lovely fluffy socks, warm gloves, slippers, or pens. I use all these at work. it gets cold spending ages outside when you work in a nursery and I love a fancy pen for writing names on pictures/notes for observations.

or a small plant in a pot - I've got a couple of small ones from children I've looked after. these are easier to find homes for rather than big ones!
