My DS is in reception. He absolutely loves school and is doing well so far. He has his main teacher, another teacher when she has her day off and a t.a. The other class teacher takes them all for p.e. So.Im looking for ideas on what to buy for Xmas. Do I get them all a gift or just hos Mason teacher with biscuits for the rest to share? I should add that we dont have a huge budget x

I would get the main teacher a gift, something like a starbucks voucher, and then a nice box of biscuits for the other 2 (maybe a tin of m&s shortbread each)

If you are going to give a gift, please either give a box of chocs, or biscuits for the staffroom, or a small gift , even a bar of chocolate from the pound shop, to each adult in your child's class. Giving a gift to one person whilst expecting the others to share, doesn't sit right with me.
Gifts don't need to be expensive to be appreciated, but a small, inexpensive gift bought for me, is definitely appreciated more than a share of the most expensive tin of biscuits in the world!

I wouldn't buy individual gifts for any, instead I would buy a nice tin of biscuits from M&S (The big gold tin of Belgian biscuits is £10 currently) to be shared and leave it at that. Actually they also have other boxed biscuits for £3 at the moment.

It only needs to be a token!

I have bought Green & Black's tasting collection for the teacher and TA (one each). Have bought prosecco in past years, tins of shortbread each etc. Always individual presents though, wouldn't expect them to share.

I always go to Poundland and buy a small garden ornament as gifts. Got some lovely cute hedgehogs one year, dogs another, snails etc. That way I can afford to buy for everyone that works in the class.

A token gift, something consumable is perfect! No one including teachers have room for 30 odd trinkets every Christmas. be practical even a hand drawn card is lovely, it's the thought that counts!

Last year I brought enough chocolate reindeers for everyone. They were the Tesco versions I think £1 each might even be less at the moment. They have quite large Santa's this year for £1, if you have somewhere cool to store them and can resist eating them.

Thanks for the ideas! Seems to be a split opinion on sharing/ individual gifts! I shall have to ponder! I don't want to get it wrong! X

A lot of the time TA spend more time working with children individually. Teacher would obviously do the main teaching and then they are split into groups.
