Ideas for dd aged 22

I'm just doing my wrapping and dd has hardly anything. She just doesn't need or want anything. Most of her pressies are chocolate, which she loves and will last her til her bday in April.

She doesn't drink, is back living with me, doesn't wear make up, has loads of clothes and enough smellies to last about three years. She has tons of jewellery and not into experience days. I nearly always get her theatre tickets. She has all up to date electronics, earns the same amount as me and is a secondary school teacher.

She has very little free time as always working and marking at home.

Any ideas gratefully received. Thank you.

There was a similar post to this yesterday, I'm 25 so I hope you don't mind me answering!

My ideas...
Flower subscription
Candles
Reusable cutlery/lunchbox/flash
Eco friendly products which are nice but pricey to buy for yourself, such as socks, reusable pads etc

Uber voucher
Cinema voucher
^ to encourage a social life :)

What about making a themed hamper for a new hobby? Something like candle making perhaps - all the equipment needed can be bought from Hobbycraft or Amazon . It's a nice hobby - I know you said DD is always busy but she must have some time to relax especially during the school holidays? [Speaking from experience as one of my DD's is on the SLT]

Fancy pen?

SaveMeBarry · 04/11/2019 19:12

New tote bag or backpack she could use for work
A nice planner/organiser
Some cozy pyjamas or a dressing gown
Bath bombs

Some good ideas so far, thank you.

A work bag is a good idea, and so are the flowers. She already has about 60 pairs of PJs so that's a no! She got a lovely pen for re graduation in the summer. The hobby stuff is a good idea but most of the things she has so far are crafts.

Re craft stuff- I’m hankering after some (more) stuff from a company called Artcuts, after seeing them and buying from them at the NEC over the weekend. They sell gorgeous kits, that can be quickly made up (I’m always short of time)

Subscription boxes, I've enjoyed coffee, curry, cheese, socks (and gin!)

DD is slightly older but her Christmas list will be books, books and xbox games.

Leeds2 · 04/11/2019 23:20

Coffee machine.

A favourite book's entire wording on a themed image poster, framed?

Quite a cross section of genres here:
spinelessclassics.com/collections/greats

(Probably best to find a frame yourself, though: their bespoke service is eye-wateringly pricey!)

How about wireless headphones? Be good to watch stuff in bed/ connect with TV so she doesn't wake you up etc

I love my water bottles and you can get some lovely ones/ travel mug for work?

Candles are always a winner in my world too x

ErrolTheDragon · 05/11/2019 00:36

Does she have a good 'office chair' and/or desk lamp for when she's doing her marking/lesson prep?

How about plants - orchids for instance?
