Presents for in laws

Specifically B&SIL who have just had their second baby three days ago.

We are travelling down under to see them for Christmas so won’t have loads of room & some restrictions on what we can take in.

DH is really helpfully going to be away with work in the 6 weeks leading up to us going away, so I’ve said I’ll have a think.

Both early 30s with 3 yo and new baby, into the environment/sustainability. Want to get something for them as a couple/individuals whilst also being aware that their lives are very baby focused currently!

Any ideas?!

Just order something to be delivered there. Taking something so far cannot be good for the environment.

National Trust membership or similar?

@Winteriscomingfast we don’t normally do presents so want to get them something this year that they will like. We have offset our carbon footprint with the flights. My plan while I am there is to just chill so I want to get at least an idea of what I’m getting them beforehand, even I do end up getting it there.

@docemmett I’ve checked the Australian NT and they only have 5 places near them so don’t think it would get used. Thank you though.

Family pass for zoo, farm park, water park, etc?

Have a look at the Australian stores that do online delivery such as David Jones, or Peter’s of Kensington. My DB and SIL live there so I’ve used Peter’s a couple of times, especially for gourmet gifts from a favourite restaurant of theirs. If they’re into wine/alcohol, Dan Murphy’s have a huge range. I’ve often made up a case for DB and SIL. There are also various sites that do vouchers for dining, experiences etc, but may not be practical with young child/baby to care for.

Just eat do gift vouchers! A useful gift when there is a new baby and no time for cooking?

Ah sorry - no use down under!
