I am not a morning person and have been awake for an hour thanks to ddog. I'll be back to post properly later 😍

Morning.

I'm thinking there'll have been a frost overnight. I've not looked out yet! Feels 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶 though.

It'll be dark before I get home tonight though. Nice and autumnal (though it feels darker than normal for some reason!). 🍂 🍁

Flouncy, the witches' hats are in the MN emoji section under the text box (on mobile browser, not app. Not a clue about the app!).

For Santa hats, you have to edit the emoji to add an f. So Xmas Grin is achieved with [ fgrin ] without spaces.

And I'm good for fog, thanks all the same.

I was right, it's cold. No heating on the train either. Thankfully they've sent a 3 rather than 6 carriage train, so we're able to huddle up! 🤣🤣

Morning. I'm still in bed Grin going to take the dc to the cinema later on the cheap kids movies. Mouse is still on the loose droppings on the kitchen surface Envy so definitely a mouse just a massive one. Hopefully not pregnant Shock

The cat is sleeping upstairs Halloween Hmm

It's frosty here too. Might take the dc into John Lewis for a look after the cinema. Have already told them I'm not buying sweets for the cinema and we're taking things with us so we won't buy anything if we go but nice to look.

Heating has been on this morning. It's baltic.
We're off to the cinema too. Going to see Shaun the sheep. I'm just looking forward to sitting back for an hour.

Hello all - going to try to be consistent again. Quick update I am (as of a month ago) a grandmother! Having lost my parents and FIL over the last 1-3 yrs, it is nice to be celebrating a new life.
I have invested in new Christmas mugs (Emma Bridgewater) - they were reduced in a dusty corner of John Lewis and then had a random 20% off so were almost Matalan prices.
I am now off to buy fabric for DGD's stocking and need to wrap up little things for DD's Advent calendar. (I have ordered theM&S one for meeee).
Looking forward to 'seeing' you all again

Sue your peg family is very sweet.

This morning I will be letting the side down by ironing Xmas Blush

Operation freezer was stymied a little last night when DD2 came in from work with a stack of food and filled all the space I cleared yesterday. Hmm

Hey everyone, I know some of you do some cross stitching. Do you have any recommendations on good kits to start people off, I would like to make a chrismtas cross-stitch for the DC’s room. Do you have any ideas?

Congratulations ConstantlyCooking, I have looked at some Emma Bridgewater mugs. I’m considering splashing out as they are so pretty

MrsMad the star shaped lampshades from Ikea are lovely. Do you think they would work as decorations? They are just what I'm looking for to hang from the ceiling in my sun room. I'm thinking 3 or 4 all hanging down on different lengths of fine thread. I've bought snowflakes from Dunelm but they are a bit dull.

Constantly, congratulations on your new grandchild! ❤️❤️ (And on your bargain mugs!)

@LeftoverPizza, have you ever done cross stitch before? I did massive baby samplers as my first ones but I'm not sure I'd recommend that. How confident are you?!

Are you having a houseful at Christmas, Woolly?

No Fluffy it's just the 5 of us - I just like decorations Blush. I did ask SIL and BIL but she wants it to be just the 2 of them. We do have a big family party between Christmas and new year.

Emma Bridgewater things are ££ so its great to find a bargain. I got a mug for DD from HomeSense a couple of years ago, she loves it

I am now Repatriated and hopefully on the road to recovery ( I have a load more hospital appointments to look forward to , but small price to pay )

I need to haul myself over to Style and Beauty , I really do look as rough as a Bear's Arse right now !

Evening everyone 😁
Am presently panicking about Dd2 buying this 1 bed flat with a 1k service charge 🥺😬🤐☹️🤯 it's a leasehold. I want her to have the 2 bed house instead. I think she may as well pay the 1k to a mortgage than a company and it future proofs her . Omg DH is going mad about me going on about it , he isn't well .Mum isn't well either but still pressurising me to be 'friends with your sister it's not fair to meeeeeee' cry cry cry . I sound horrible l know but Im not honestly just got a hellova lot on my shoulders.
To add to that l am going to miss her so so much wahhhh! I even went on the flood plains in the vain hope the bloody property was in a flood zone .
