Comedy gifts for DS (16)?

I’m trying to think of comedy related gifts for DS but my mind’s gone blank- he’s really into it at the moment.
He loves Lee Evans (but has seen all
His DVDs), Russell Howard (same), Russell Kane (not sure re DVDs), Romesh Ranganathan and shows like The Mash Report, Mock the Week etc.
Can anyone recommend someone new or anything at all!

Thanks

Tickets for a comedy show?

DockOfTheBay · 20/10/2019 12:44

Thanks cupcupgoose, that’s something we thought about but he’s noise sensitive and shows don’t work for him.

There must be lots of comedy books.

Tim Minchin is very funny, but you should check suitability first. Not sure how available any DVDs / CDs are, I got a CD at one of his shows (Dark side I think).

TM probably is a bit inappropriate (although I'm not sure as I don't have a 16yo).

We took our 15 and 16 year old to see Josh Widdicombe who was very funny and along same lines. Slightly rude in places but nothing most 16 year olds would find shocking.

They have the comedy stores in London an Manchester and some are quiet venues maybe do one of those if he's noise sensitive as their small places - not as many people ??

Thanks for the ideas all, will definitely look into the smaller comedy venues.

My kids still love Michael McIntyre. nothing too "blue" as my granny would say and easy to relate to.

Sarah Milliagan (hope that's spelt correctly)

Have a look at some older performers like Joe Pasquale

Lots of comedians have autobiographies which can be very funny, and some have written fiction books too. If he isnt keen on reading, audiobooks can be good especially if read by the comedian who wrote them.

Some panel shows have board games based on them. I know there was a "would I lie to you" board game and I have a feeling there is a "mock the week" one too.

Dara O'Briain's dvds are great :)

We take our two to comedy shows. We go to Edinburgh fringe every year and as soon as they hit the teens we started to take them to shows. We got front row with Al Murray this year which was a barrel of laughs. They've seen Nish Kumar, Henning Wehn, Ross Noble, John Bishop and have Jimmy Carr, Jack Whitehall and Chris Ramsey to come.

Jack Whitehall's series travels with my father is hilarious.

What about a box at a small theatre? We took ours to see James Acaster and had a box which they loved obviously dependent on availability.

The Private Eye album.

Annual - not album (sorry!)
