What are you getting your 6 year old boys?

My son is 6 at the end of November and I am starting to think about Christmas presents but I am drawing a bit blank.

He absolutely loves cars (Disney and hit wheels) but has the hot wheels ultimate garage and a hot wheels track.

He likes lego - doesn't have any 'sets' but has a good assortment of bricks. I have looked at sets but some of them are so expensive!

He quite likes playing pretend games with little figures.

Likes trains but has a lot of Thomas the tank track stuff already.

What do your 6 year old boys want/what are you planning to get them?

Please share your ideas - I want to start shopping so that I'm prepared.

@Thatnovembernight thank you, just ordered one too!

Me too, thanks! Grandson is 6 in December, so twice as much to buy that month!

@LadyCarolinePooterVonThigh yup it's my son's 6th birthday December too, expensive month!

LadyCarolinePooterVonThigh · 10/10/2019 16:43

It sure is!

Ds is 6 on the 11th of December.

He is getting a tablet for his birthday. He loved playing card games on Dh's iPad and wants to get started on Minecraft.

For Christmas, everything on his list is Minecraft related.

So far, we have got the fire Lego set linked above, a Minecraft cushion and some stocking hits including Minecraft socks!

My typing is awful above, tried to do it without glasses on!

For my 6yo DS his list

Harry Potter Lego (there's a few new sets out)
Lego hidden side
Nerf tactical vest
Mine craft 2 in 1 axe and sword (he doesn't play minecraft I think he's just seen it on YouTube!)
Treasure x alien
Solar system model
Junior cluedo (he has monopoly jr and enjoys that)
Spud laser trap alarm and night vision goggles

My son is getting playmobil rocket and space station . I’ll probably get a board game (no idea which one yet), Star Wars Lego and the imaginext joker car.

He’s really into his Lego but having 2 older brothers and a sister we have lots of it so it’ll be a small set.

Last year he had a action cam (bit like a GoPro but cheaper) that was a huge hit.

DS spends far too much time on his xbox, so a new fancy remote.

Ryan's World toys (YouTube kid) is releasing an xbox game in November that I know he will love.

Our son is 5 turning 6 in the summer and so far we've got him....
Infinity war thanos gauntlet
Batman lego movie ultimate batmobil lego set
Thanos figure
12x Ben 10 figures
Ben 10 rust bucket playset
Ben 10 omnitrix watch
Playmobil space shuttle
Playmobile space rocket
Forky remote figure
Smart lab squashy human body
Avengers nerf gun
Couple board games
Julia Donaldson books x5
Lego cars x2
Science set

Still to do a stocking but those are his big pressies

I think I'm going to have to get the Ryan's world Xbox game for our son as he just adores Ryan's world. However, the mother's voice is like listening to nails going down a blackboard 😂😂

Thanks so much to those who mentioned Hidden Side lego, never come across it before but both my boys will love it. I'm pretty much sorted now, mostly because of this thread!

InDubiousBattle · 17/10/2019 16:31

Hidden side Lego is a third off in argos at the moment. We got the Lego fire set for £12 in tesco last weekend, total bargain!
My ds also has a December birthday so it's an expensive month for us too. He's asked for a new bike for Christmas and I've also picked him up some play doh, a Harry Potter dress up outfit, Guess Who game and the Lego Systar ship (£30 at Debenhams).
