Bath the city, not the one that cleans you Grin
Has anyone been? I’ve wanted to go for a while and found a cheap travel lodge deal so could stay over night.
I’m unsure whether I’d bring my just turned 7 year old. I think he’d probably get bored beciase id like to explore a bit as well as the market. I’ve heard it gets really busy.
The last day of the market is actually the 15th, which I think is surprisingly early. It’s a Sunday and the day I’d be most likely to go as it works best for me. I’d stay the night and then use the Monday to explore the city and do a bit of sight seeing.
Would you say it’s worth it? Is the atmosphere nice? Or is it no more special than other markets? I live in London by the way.

I'd say the market is more for adults than children (lots of nice expensive crafty things, gourmet foods and alcohol). At weekends and in the evenings it gets so crowded you can barely move, let alone have relaxed browse around the stalls. I go most years, but that's because I have to be in Bath anyway, and I can go on a weekday daytime.

Bath has lots of fun stuff for children to do, but I would go some time other than the Christmas market period - you might actually do better going closer to Christmas, when the market has finished but there are still pretty lights etc and you could do other things, e.g. a children's show at the theatre. Or save it for the summer when you can take advantage of the parks.

@Imustbemad00

If you go I recommend doing an evening visit to Roman baths if they do them
In the winter. It didn't seem full at all where as during the day the queues outside were massive.

I also recommend the mayors waking tours - it's about 2 hours completely free not even tips with volunteer local guides. It was great.
