Adult children gifts - food subscription boxes?

I've got five adult children. They all earn more than me but are far more time poor, and they all enjoy cooking. So I came up with the idea of getting each of them a food box subscription for Christmas. I got my son a three month 'curry box' one a couple of years ago and he loved it.

Anyone got any suggestions for the best, most cost effective food subscriptions?

I liked Gousto. Lots more variety and recipes to choose from compared to hello fresh although they were always good too.

I've got a referral link for Gousto. You get 60% off your first box and 30% off second and I get £15 credit if you/anyone wants to use it Smile

Thank you very much, @tweedle. I'll have a look at those.

Well, Craft Gin Club went down very very well but I don't think that's quite what you're after Smile.

@Disfordarkchocolate - all suggestions gratefully received! Gin club sounds like something my younger son would enjoy.

I bought DH a cheese subscription from Paxton & Whitfield, very well received!

Thank you Hummus. Again, younger son (who's a bit of a foodie) would probably love this.

Is it actually possible to buy Gousto (or similar) subscription as a gift? Was anticipating paying for, say, a six month subscription, one meal a week sort of thing, and having a voucher so they can use the subscription to order whatever food they'd like.

I like Simply Cook - they send a box with the falvouring / seasoning not the ingredients but most meals take under 20 mins and use less than 5 fresh ingredients. I like it because it still feels like I'm cooking from scratch but gives me loads of ideas.

inwood -that sounds a lot like the curry box subscription. They sent the recipe card and the spices and peripherals but you had to supply the meat. I'll look into Simply Cook - might be good for DD3 as her partner is gluten free and vegetarian and she's neither of these things, but ideally I'd like all the stuff to come in the box to save them the trouble of shopping for ingredients once a week. Again, DS2 would be fine with one of these as he lives just down the road from a large ASDA. The others are further from shops, and the idea is to save them some time on (say) a Friday night!

It was great @Zaphodsotherhead. Gin, mixer, snacks etc. They were very flexible and my son loved the find gins received.

I've just given them a Google, Disfordarkchocolate. They look fab, didn't realise they were full size bottles of gin! I think it's a deffo for one of them.

Oh yes, a big bottle of gin.

Lovely customer service when I used them. If my son wasn't a worn put new parent who needs cash more than gin I'd still be using them.
