How many present from santa

I know this will have been asked and sort of goes hand in hand with how much do you spend but I'm wondering roughly how many presents does santa bring your children.
As in does he have a pile of under 5 presents, under 10 or more like 20plus?

I have a 2yo and a 1yo and I don't want to go over board but I come from a family who would buy (in my opinion) insane amounts of presents.
As a child I'd wake to a mountain of presents on Christmas morning. My brother who has a child older than mine would get a sickening amount. My mum still will buy the grandkids piles. (i asked her not last year and reminded her she's no long santa but it fell on deaf ears and more stuff arrived).
I'm feeling like I should go along with it, but I cant shake the feeling its too much. My brother would send every Christmas eve an photo to say santa has been to our group chat, last year i didn't do one because I felt a bit down that my kids combined got less than one of his. I felt guilty when he then visited on the day and was like so what did santa bring my dc where then 1yo and 5mth so I didn't think needed alot. Infact I thought I went over board. But he reels a list off what santa brought his the. 4yo & 10mth.

Sorry that turned into a abit of a story.... Basically I'm wondering roughly how many presents santa brings, I don't know whether my family are a but obsessed or I'm a bit miserable.
My oldest now starting to understand christmas and I could afford more but I guess I don't know what is "normal".

1 present costing £10-£20 from Santa.
( Last year DS a nice alarm clock. DD teddy). Also stocking each.
Other gifts are labeled from the giver but the giver sends them to santa to check and he distributes them.

We don't put presents under the tree. The only time they are under the tree is when the children wake on Christmas morning and it's where Santa leaves them.
( We hide them in big bedroom closet and in the garage and sometimes a neighbours garage too)
From us parents they get 15-20 presents each. Usually 1-2 main presents and others costing anything from £5 up.

In answer to your more recent question OP, my children get up to three presents from us. Either one main and one or two smaller, three smaller, or just one main. Depends entirely on what they’ve asked for! They also have 8 other people buying for them (up to £20 ish presents each) so get a lot!

I grew up getting a sack of toys from Santa. We don’t do stockings. All other presents under the tree were from family & friends and 1 from our Mum&Dad. That’s how I’m going to do it with my kids.

I’ve been doing Santa sacks for my parents for the last few years! These normally have 6 presents in. These are a gift, game, smellies, pjs, selection box and chocolate coins.
I’d never heard of a Christmas Eve box until a few years ago so have never bothered with them. All other presents are from us.
My dd is only 7 months though so this will be her first year although I plan to do the same for her.

My son still believes in Santa so for now presents are from Santa and he knows he gets stuff from family etc. I think it's nice to enjoy the magic whilst it lasts. It probs will be another year or two before that stops

We do one present plus the stocking from Santa. Here, stocking are fairly small, and contain only very small gifts - chocolate Santa, small toys, some sweets etc.

All other gifts arrive with Santa, but are labelled from the givers.

Santa brings a stocking...I don't see why a mythical being should get all the glory, so the bigger presents (under the tree) are from us.
There is so much pressure on to overload kids with gifts, its materialistic, unnecessary, bad for the environment, stressful on finances and probably unappreciated.
Don't be afraid to set your stall out and make your own decisions. Some of your family might be feeling as under pressure as you are!
