Useful/cool stocking fillers for a 13yr old boy. Only really into football and gaming!

Grandparents- voucher for a spring clean? (by you or from a company), mum got this from my sister a few years ago and was happy with it :)

ds: xbox/ps4 vouchers, personalised football, magnetic league tracker table, controller and console skins

couples: a voucher to a local attraction

Pinching ideas from other threads:

Stocking fillers for 13 yo:

Earphones case/tidy
Chilly bottle fake from Wilkos
Travel cutlery set if he eats lunch on the go
Have a look at Typo online. Lots of quirky stocking fillers there.

For couples in their 20s:

I've just been looking at the Exit games on Amazon. Look good fun if they like escape room type games.
Electric lighter if they have a chiminea or bbq a lot.

Grandparents:

Ask them if they like the hampers. If so, there's no need to reinvent the wheel every year. Stick to what they like.

13yo: skins for controller, novelty usb stick, bloxxels, play station store voucher

livingthegoodlife · 13/09/2019 19:30

Grandparents - tickets to theatre or gardening show or cinema

Friends in 20s - le creuset stuff? Reasonable in tkmaxx. Cheese hamper? Try the cheese shed online, they do a nice selection for £30 and it's generous.

13yo - airzooka?

I need ideas for boys aged 13, 17, 21. £15 ish.

Flamingo84 · 14/09/2019 19:18

13yo -
If he has a PS4 they do cool stickers for the light bar on the controllers for £3. Lots of styles to suit his tastes www.amazon.co.uk/d/PC-Video-Games/Playstation-Sticker-Dualshock-Controller-themed/B00K49ESYG?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

New gaming headset, they do good ones on amazon for about £20

They do collectible game character figures if he loves a specific game. (Although that could be the start of a never ending collection!)

If he’s got a favourite team you can see if there was a match on the day he was born and get a programme on eBay. Did it for football mad DH and only cost about £8 but obvs depends on the team.

Those Vinyl Pop figures are really popular and appear in B&M often if he’s not superheroes/films.

Check out his favourite team's club shop for little bits (ours had a Lego style brick build of the team badge).

Website called Qwertee does loads of gaming tshirts and they’re all £13 or less. They do hoodies too but they’re £20ish.

For the grandparents if there’s a reader amongst them you can get silver bookmarks with a dangly charm you can get personalised (got a bird one for birdwatching nan). Food and drink is normally a good bet though.

If the couples in there 20s have lots of house stuff I’d be tempted to get wine/beer, cheese/chocolate type hampers. I saw some luxury giant pork pies last year that I’m tempted to try!

For grandparents - Betty's tea rooms do a beautiful sloe gin fruit cake in a tin. Only £22

For couples - I always appreciate hotel chocolat goody bags, think its a nice couples gift. Consumables always seem like the best idea to me

No idea for the teenage boy sorry, unless he's the type to enjoy a lush bath bomb?

Mindfull321 · 14/09/2019 21:05

Thanks everyone, great ideas!

Grandparents- what about a bird table or bird feeding station.

everythingisginandroses · 15/09/2019 15:08

Some brilliant suggestions here. Sorry to hijack, but can I ask:

@Flamingo84 - have you used the Qwertee site and if so was the quality OK? There are some cool designs on there that I think my DS would love but some of the online reviews are making me hesitant...

@livingthegoodlife - I know this is a stupid question, but is there any way cheese gifts can survive unrefrigerated for any length of time? I have a family member who is a massive cheese fan, but they live at the other end of the country, and I have to hand their Christmas present over several weeks in advance. I suppose I can give them due warning, but the camembert I gave them a few years ago may have been a mistake Xmas Blush

Flamingo84 · 15/09/2019 18:08

@everythingisginandroses I ordered 2 tshirts from there and they are lovely soft 100% cotton. One was a white Star Wars one which luckily isn’t that see through white! The other was a black Back to the Future print and I’m really pleased with them. The film tshirts in Primark are the same price but the quality from here looks much better.

The size guide also seems pretty accurate, they measure a flattened tshirt width from under each armpit. Delivery was a little longer than expected (maybe just over a week or so) but they’re delivered from Dublin (and I’ve been spoilt by Amazon!). Even had a little bag of Haribo in with the delivery!

I’d definitely use them again.

everythingisginandroses · 15/09/2019 18:47

Thank you, Flamingo84 - I have given it a whirl and ordered 2 t-shirts Flowers

BonnesVacances · 15/09/2019 20:34

Most of DC's T-shirts are from Qwertee! They're fab and really original! I always size up though as I find they shrink a little after a while. If you sign up to the newsletter you get a code in each one for £1 off.
