Last year I made an advent calendar by hanging organza bags to the tree with sticky felt numbers on the front. Green for DD1 and red for DD2. I’m planning on doing the same this year as it went down well.

Dd1 is into Make up and toiletries now she’s a teen so I’m wanting to fill some of hers with that.

Does anyone know of anywhere that does a range of cheap sample sizes? Or have any ideas of what to put in the bags? Last year I managed to fill them but it was hard to think of different things. Tia

Try Feelunique.com you can use their pick and mix sampling service you can order 5 samples every month. There's no cost except you have to pay for delivery which is £3.95 but you then get a voucher for £3.95 to spend on the site which You can also use to pay for your next 5 samples.

I'm doing the same as you and sometimes they have great samples available. Got some benefit concealer and a nars mascara recently. You just have to keep checking back as they change all the time... you can only order once a month though (unless you use a different email address Wink)

You can get rimmel and stuff like that from the pound shop, primark have low price ones too which are really good quality.

Go into perfume shops and ask for some samples as you are not sure what to buy as they have loads of miniatures behind the counter

Definitely recommend department stores and ask for samples
Have had most luck with Chanel, Dior and Clinique counters

If you can be bothered, you could email a few brands and see if they could send you some samples out!

Oh thanks! I’ve just ordered some samples I think she would like from feel unique and il keep checking that. Il also check makeup counters that’s a good idea too :)

I don't know if shower gels and shampoo/conditioner are suitable, but The Body Shop do mini travel sizes of most of their ranges in these areas for £2. They are usually on 3-for-2 as well (in store anyway) I've used them before when doing mini hampers.

Benefit sets are always a nice gift and they often have offers where you get sample sizes of various products as freebies. Think the full size product minis go on three for two in boots often too.
Also, Primark have mini bottles of nail polish for 60p if your DD likes to experiment with different colours.
