Christmas crafts to sell - ideas please!

A charity I volunteer for will be having a Christmas Fair. I'd like to make some craft items to sell. I have a sewing machine and fabric, mosaic bits, paints, also other craft things. I'm not too bad at making things but have no special skills.

Any suggestions for items which are fairly simple to make, likely to sell for more than they cost in materials and won't look like my kid made them at nursery school?

Things I would buy at a craft fair are nice Xmas Dec's, pencil cases, notebook covers, hair bands/scrunchies, Bath bombs, chocolates or individual servings of Xmas pudding or cake

Bunting in the shape of holly leaves and berries.
Stockings of course, for pets maybe.
Placemats
Hand warmers
Hot water bottle covers
Microwaveable cushions
Tree decorations

Fabric gift bags

Dog bandanas and bow ties are quite popular and Pinterest has loads of ideas. Also Christmas bunting?

CrisisMummy · 10/09/2019 15:10

I buy nice decorations, bunting maybe.

Scrunchies are a good idea as you can make alot of them very quickly and cheaply. You could do Christmas fabric ones and perhaps also ones in the colours of schools near wherever the fair will be.
Also felt tree decorations, stars, reindeer holly shapes etc. You could also put some of these onto ribbon to make bunting.
You could also maybe do cards or gift tags although people are likely to not pay so much for these.
Could you say what the charity is? That way maybe people could think of more focused ideas e.g. if it's an animal charity pet stockings/hats/christmassy collar bow ties would go down well. If its environmental then reusable gift bags/tags etc.

Thanks - some great ideas! Our charity is connected with aeroplanes.

Fabric bags:
Simple draw string bags roughly A4 size which can be used as shoe bags or packing bags.
One of DS's friends made these for a business project with some left over curtain fabric and cord - sold them for £3

Or Shopper style bags with longer handles. If you have plain fabric and patterned you could put a patterned piece in the middle or do a patterned liner?

If they aren't "Christmas themed" - then if they don't sell they can just roll over to the next fair/opportunity?

Christmas themed place mats and/or coasters.

Magazine (or book) trees, this example is painted green, but I have seen loads done is gold and silver etc. Look really effective all together using different sizes magazines and books.

Christmas dog bandana sounds fab. They are really easy to make, just make sure that the fold over is big enough for the collar to go through (so deeper for a bigger bandana for a larger dog)

Borrow a few dogs to take photos to model and dog teddies with cheap £1 shop collars with bandanas on to decorate the stall.

My dog won't dress up but even he does a bandana to go to the pub.
