Dd has just got into Harry Potter and zipped through the first three books. Wondered what the best Harry Potter gifts you have found are? She is not massively into dressing up but loves stationary and ornaments and playing with dolls and branded pyjamas etc. Nothing too expensive though please.

There is just so much stuff!

Primark used to have loads of things but I'm not sure if they still do.

Doyoumind · 16/07/2019 18:17

There are also a couple of HP dedicated shops you can buy online from.

NeutralJanet · 16/07/2019 18:20

B&M has a few shelves of Harry Potter stuff, dolls, wands, stationery etc. I've got one of the sets of minifigures stashed away in the Christmas cupboard and I'll probably get mine some Harry Potter Lego whenever I see it on offer.

Mrsjayy · 16/07/2019 18:21

Wands they love a wand dd also has some jewellery the time turner and a deathly hallows necklace maybe a visit to the studio tour ?

Deminism · 16/07/2019 18:27

I said she can visit the studio when she has read all seven books and seen all the films. So saving that for 2020.

Wand is good idea. Also figures. Will look at B&M as we have one near us.

Anyone seen any good pyjamas?

Dd has just turned 9 and is HP obsessed having read all the books 5+ times plus all the books that have come off the back of them!

She has:

Pyjamas from primark/Asda/Sainsbury's
Swimming bag from Asda
Lunch box from the works
Paper bin from amazon
Lego (just the smaller bits)
Rubbers and pencils from the works
Wand from HP studios
Chocolate frogs from Sainsbury's oh and Bertie botts magic beans, jelly frog)
T shirts from primark
Towel from amazon
Various note pads from typo, the works, primark
Bunting from primark
Posters from hmv
Socks and pants from primark

Loads of supermarkets do things now, literally anywhere you go will likely have some HP stuff. Hope that helps a bit.

Ps save for the cursed child it's amazing!

DS has a lovely soft gryffindor robe dressing gown with pointy hat/hood. Only problem he keeps wearing it in this heat, makes me sweat just looking at him! But perfect at Christmas. I think ours came from Tesco, don't know if they still have them.
The Lego sets are very popular here. Quite expensive but you get lots of cool bits.

FairfaxAikman · 16/07/2019 18:37

Aldi had some lovely classy looking cushions recently- £5 a pop.
If you are close enough you could take her for a day n Edinburgh with lunch at the Elephant House and the free HP tour afterwards?

OpposableThumbs2 · 16/07/2019 18:38

My 8 year old DD loves her notebook that looks like the marauders map and a ball point pen like a quill.

bruffin · 16/07/2019 18:40

redbubble are great for bags, stickers etc,

OpposableThumbs2 · 16/07/2019 18:40

This is a lovely pensieve set. The box is lovely and the memory vials are plastic but look like glass. The journal and pen (in the wand) are a nice touch.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 16/07/2019 19:15

Waterstones quite often have things.

What house is she in? That can be good for buying things.

Spudina · 16/07/2019 19:20

The lego figures are good. Sainsbury's sell them sometimes for £10. The Marauders map notebook too. Finally...have you seen the new HP Dobble set. HP and Dobble together! That's a hit in our house.

Deminism · 16/07/2019 19:38

Oh these are great thank you. We love dobble so will def get that.
She is gryffindor apparently.

I didn’t realise every supermarket did stuff tbh as I nearly always online shop.
Are the spin off books worth it?

The cursed child is a screen play so would depend on your daughter really. The spell books are good and the book of wands are interesting. There's a Harry Potter cook book too, we haven't got that but it's meant to be good. They're mainly 'fact' books about Harry Potter so depends how utterly obsessed she is Grin

WreckTangled · 16/07/2019 20:33

Oh she also has Harry Potter cutlery which I think my mum got on eBay! Plus a cabin sized suitcase which she loves for sleepovers

Stompythedinosaur · 20/07/2019 16:13

My 8 year old loves her dip quill, her Gryffindor scarf and a wand with a light up end (bought from eBay for around £8)

Littleduckeggblue · 20/07/2019 16:19

I bought my dsd aged 9 Harry Potter Cluedo

LoonyLunaLoo · 09/08/2019 21:49

The lego is ace!

The Marauders map book with uv wand pen is really nice. DS (10) has spend a lot of time looking at his.

The spin off books are good.

DS adores his duvet set which I got from Primark.

Ebay is full of random stuff from acceptance letters/boxes to stationery. I have a notebook and some awesome character paperclips from there.

www.emp.co.uk

This website also has some cool stuff ,but quite pricey. I did buy the envelope pencil case from there in the sale .

YourSarcasmIsDripping · 09/08/2019 22:08

On Etsy you can buy sorting bath bombs, they look the same on the outside but dissolve and change the colour of the water to one of the house colours. You can choose a house or have a random one when you order.
