Well, apart from allow myself to drink out of my Christmassy Snowman mug at work....yhmmm
It's a combination of trying to make time for some fun stuff for me (playing some nice music, or watching a Christmas movie I downloaded and didn't get to watch yet)
Doing some organizing - like checking my spreadsheet, doing some thinking about different people and what to get them, making notes of things I had noticed recently that might be useful...and as the year progresses, checking places like websites of venues for events (what will be on this festive season that I/the family would like? Can I book tickets yet?), the Santa train website (that usually books out in only weeks in July), starting to fill in dates as soon as I get them like school events etc for the December/January period....
And other organizing like thinking about baking plans, or maybe doing a clean-out a cupboard type job, or checking supplies of non-perishables , and starting shopping lists etc.
In the summer sales, I often pick up a few things.
And as back to school offers are in full swing, I gather craft supplies and nice school supplies that Santa might bring etc.
I also usually have a few craft projects in mind, so Rudolph days are good to try and make progress on those.
Then again, I think about it more frequently than just Rudy Days. And I tend to do the Organised Christmas "Holiday Grand Plan" for the 14 weeks from start Sept to early Dec to get more properly organized. (I am one of those nuts that buys my cards early, and then write them when on business travel throughout the autumn, filling in otherwise dead time on planes etc!).
