£50ish present for 45yo woman! Ideas please!

It's for me.

A family member has declared defeat, and is looking for ideas for what I might want. I don't have any.

Budget is around £50 but I'm told it's flexible. I don't want clothes or make-up. I tend to be cash rich but time poor, so don't really want for stuff often. Can't think of any experiences that I'm dying to do within that budget. There is a play that I'd like to see next year, but the tickets are too expensive. New year's resolution is to be more organised, so a magic wand would be helpful!

What shall I ask for? What do you all want?!

She’s 45 and this is Mumsnet. A bottle of lavender water, one of those lap tray things and a nice scarf.

A bunch of flowers per month? How many bunches do you think £50 would buy if they were delivered?

My local flower growing place does 6 bunches one per month for £50 (but you have to collect them)

I'm a bit older (not quite lavender-water-and-lap-tray territory yet ) and don't wear make-up. But my first thought was "Nuxe"

They do the most gorgeous perfume , shower gel, dry oil , golden oil (which I may have to treat myself to...)

There's also the Evening Standard offer on at Skylon at South Bank 26 Dec until 10 Feb. She could take you out for a lovely lunch in London. Obviously you'd have to pay for your own travel but £50 would cover lunch for two if you use the offer.

Agree the lavender water, lap tray and scarf are WAY too old!

Buy a basket for 15 quid and make a hamper. That's what I did with my mums gift

A basic iteam you use all the time but a fancy version you wouldn’t buy yourself such as expensive socks, jammies, hairbrush (some of the mason pearsons are very expensive but worth it)

Oh in that price range I'd love an Elemis voucher but that doesnt sound like you; so how about some accessories from Brora, a chocolate subscription, new pair of leather gloves?

It may not be in the spirit of things, but why ask someone to spend £50 when you don't really want for anything? I'm cash rich time poor too and have asked for only a bird feeder from in-laws. They'd happily spend more but I'm happy for them to just take us out for a meal.

Theatre Voucher so you can put to the £50 for the play you want to see. MIL bought us ATG Vouchers last year and we put to them and saw Wicked last week, was fab!

I'm 45. I've asked for Bluetooth headphones for running.

Otherwise I'd like a couple of full size bottles of flavoured gins.

Or champagne.

I have loads of scarves, they never see the light of day. I'm not a scarf type 45 yr old, I'm a DMs, black tights and mini skirt 45yr old.

Wouldn't mind lavender water to spray on bedsheets though.

For someone who is cash rich but time poor I would get a voucher to get a chore done e.g. house cleaned or some gardening or laundry. Something where I could enjoy chilling while the things I don’t like doing but take up time I don’t have get done.
