Children are 8 boy and 11 girl have got both lots of nice little bits and had the genius idea for a tube of Pringles in each but need some more bigger things that will help fill the gaps. Any ideas welcome Smile

Mini cereal boxes are a good idea!

Idontknowwhyinfrench · 15/12/2018 07:51

Swim towel
Fleece blanket or cushion for their rooms
Colouring book
Other ‘treat’ food
Bubble bath

FlosCampi · 15/12/2018 07:51

Jar of chocolate spread?

Wilma55 · 15/12/2018 07:51

Rolled up comic or puzzle book

Idontknowwhyinfrench · 15/12/2018 07:52

(Mine have sacks rather than real stockings so I have this dilemma every year! Hate buying tat for the sake of it so tend to buy usefulish bits as fillers)

Ni58 · 15/12/2018 07:53

Marshmallows

ImogenTubbs · 15/12/2018 07:56

Large chocolate santas. Pack of their favourite biscuits (DD will be getting jammy dodgers) in hers.

abcriskringle · 15/12/2018 07:56

Their favourite cereal, a pencil case/stationery sets, books (Guinness book of world records for example), some kind of cheaper craft set (friendship bracelets for example), an activity book (crossword/wordsearch/codebreaker etc) and pen, new toothbrush, a christmas jumper (cheap at Asda or Primark)...can't think of anymore!

QueenOnAPlate · 15/12/2018 08:58

Massive bag of American marshmallows from Tesco or Sainsburys. Pot of candyfloss. Bottle of drink they can have there and then if they want, something they either love or have wanted to try. Rolled up comic. Metre of jaffa cakes. Chocolate orange.

hidinginthenightgarden · 15/12/2018 10:42

Colouring books, crayons, chocolate Santa.

flapjackfairy · 15/12/2018 10:44

Jar of hot choc and large bag of marshmallows

caterpuller · 15/12/2018 10:46

My 2 are 9 and 12, and love those grow your own crystals sets - you can get them pretty cheap on Amazon. Also those fossil digging sets. They're cheapish but can be quite bulky so will fill some gaps! I usually put both in their stockings every year. Keeps them busy for a while on christmas morning too!

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 15/12/2018 11:13

I found a 'make your own slime' kit in Waterstones for a 10 year old. About £7 IIRC.
Jar of Nutella?

Selection box, or is that too obvious to mention?

Chocolatedigestives1 · 15/12/2018 11:17

We always put a magazine in which helps bulk it out! Also one of those 'large' tubes of sweets :)

Ohyesiam · 15/12/2018 11:20

By the tills in our TK Maxx they have a sort of candy kebab for about £2. It’s like foam shrimps (but more exciting) about 45 long, big bulky and very impressive looking.

Plural · 15/12/2018 11:22

12 pack of their favourite crisps? Cheap and very filling!

OneStepMoreFun · 15/12/2018 11:29

Primark Christmassy tee shirts
Primark fluffy socks
Poundland tube of sweets
Rolled up magazne or comic that they love

Leeds2 · 15/12/2018 12:36

A football.
Can of favourite fizzy drink, especially if this isn't usually allowed!
Character bottle of shampoo and bubble bath.
Soap on a rope.
Jigsaw.
One of those plastic reusable twirly straws.
Water bottle..

Lovemusic33 · 15/12/2018 12:45

People seem to have huge stockings? Not sure I could fit most of these things in the dd’s And their stockings are not small.

Dd1 has a sand dragon/lizard in hers (toy full of sand, quite heavy).
A drink bottle from smiggle.
Socks.
Jelly beans.
Slinky.
Pens.
Smiggle pencil sharpener.
Pokemon cards.

If there’s any room left I will put a chocolate orange or a mini pot of Pringles in there.

TwoGinScentedTears · 15/12/2018 12:50

I got a huge tin of Bourbon biscuits (that looks like a bourbon!) for £4 for mine. They also had custard creams.

springlike · 15/12/2018 13:02

TwoGinScentedTears where did you get the biscuit tins from?

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 15/12/2018 13:27

Self inflating whoopee cushion

TwoGinScentedTears · 15/12/2018 14:10

Ah sorry, that would help. An Iceland warehouse but I imagine they sell them in Iceland too Smile
