Other than a tree, what other decorations do you have up?

I put the tree up on Saturday and it looks fab even if I do say so myself! However the rest of the house has no decorations at all. What else can I buy and where from? I like fairy lights, greens and glittery stuff. I'd particularly like to decorate the staircase and bannister. Thanks in advance.

A 7ft Nordsman fir and a fresh wreath on my front door.

None yet FFS. Not even near Christmas yet. Around a week before is plenty.

Some jingly bell stars in the windows hanging from the handles in the front room, a long garland thing on top of the fireplace (it’s my favourite, the fireplace has just gone in and I want to keep the garland on it all year round 😂), a couple of bits of Christmas tat the dc have made at school over the years, a plastic ‘gold’ bell my grandma bought me for my first Christmas that still plays tunes, a wreath on the door and the tree. A few Christmas candle holders.
Then a strand of twinkly lights on the front of the house.
We don’t go overboard, all the downstairs rooms have something slightly festive but other than the tree which the dc decorate and dp putting the outside lights up it takes about 10 minutes to put the rest of the bits out.

We have a garland with pinecones & dried oranges across the mantelpiece.

White LED fairy lights strung across the beams.

A Large Christmas train decoration with tea lights in the bay window.

Snowflake lights in the windows.

So far an advent calendar and wreath . Hoping to get a real tree at the weekend. Christmas bedlinen at the ready!

Not great on other decorations so getting lots of good ideas here. Not arty crafty at all. Knitted bunting sounds fab!

Advent wreath with four candles, wooden carved carol singers 'following the star'

Usually put tree up on Christmas even but we are exceptionally busy all the last weekend before Christmas so may crack and put the tree up this weekend. All very tasteful in gold and white decorations.

An outdoor garland with warm led lights keeps catching my eye (when I look at the web site ) so we may have outdoor garlands and warm white (still, must be still) lights outside this year.

Foil garlands in the living room and dining room, artificial wreaths inside and outside front door. We've just had a home lift installed, and I'm debating whether to hang something inside it!

I have a few strings of holly and berry battery operated lights wrapped round my bannister, from wilkos, looks very festive.

We currently have a wreath round the tv next to the nativity and a Xmas village. Windowsill has a countdown santa and a snow globe plus bits of tinsel round the house. We add bits each year.

Just tree and some lights around.
Have not bothered with holly, the knitted nativity, the festive candles or the candelabra in the window.

I really really want those 80's ceiling decorations though. Fed up of the natural look that I've been doing the last 10 years.

I just have a tree. Nothing else.

Actually, that reminds me,I want to get some holly and ivy in from my garden soon....when I can find my secataurs.

Garland on the bannister. Fairy lights on the mantelpiece. Lots of quaint fabric decorations picked up at Christmas fairs over the years. Little light up village shop type things. Expensive. We tend to pick up a new one every couple of years.
Paper garlands I did with the kids in the kitchen and playroom and icicle stickers on the windows.
