Help! Impossible to buy for people

I have 3 adults that are IMPOSSIBLE to buy for I'm hoping that mners can help

Person 1 : female, early 70's, retired, comfortably off so generally if they want/need something they'll just get it!

Items that aren't possible:
Clothes - fussy & weight fluctuates
Books - only likes certain authors & buys their books as soon as they're released
Make up/perfume/toiletries - can't use for medical reasons
Music/film - has all the DVDs, CDs of the stuff she likes already (see gets what they want when they want)
Tickets for shows etc - is a carer, cannot guarantee if they'd be free on specific dates if caree falls ill/is having bad day
Alcohol - teetotal
Food - diabetic
Jewellery - can't wear for medical reasons
Pens - not their thing really but done in the past and currently has a glut of lovely stationery
Purses/bags - again done for recent events they have plenty and not particularly their thing
Gloves/scarves - as above has hundreds as nobody ever knows what to bloody get her!

Person 2, male, early 70's, caree of person 1, bedridden due to ill health.

Pyjamas - always end up getting these & he's actually quite fussy so hard to find ones he likes
Books/films/music - concentration/memory/hearing pretty much gone so can no longer enjoy these.
Toiletries - medical reasons mean basically only uses prescribed stuff.
Alcohol - dry alcoholic
Food - diabetic
Stationery - same as person 1

I've been debating mugs for incapacitated people IF I could find a "fun" rather than just a practical one. Other than that I'm completely stumped!!

Person 3 late 60's, female, OK financially and not materialistic anyway.

Food - diabetic
Alcohol - teetotal
Make up/perfume/toiletries - as per person 1
Books - uses library as never reads more than once
Music/film - not into
Clothes - tricky as disabled and clothes have to work with certain issues plus fussy plus weight fluctuates
Jewellery - cannot wear
Bags/purses/hats/scarves - has tons as nobody ever knows what else to buy!!
Tickets - health fluctuates so again cannot guarantee availability, can vary greatly day to day

Harder every year to but for these people. And when I ask? "Oh I'm happy with just a card" AngryGrinConfused

Maddening!

So any Christmas mn geniuses out there?

helpmum2003 · 05/12/2018 22:02

Book voucher for number 1? Very difficult people!!!

Cachailleacha · 05/12/2018 22:03

They don't sound difficult, just get a card like they said.

doodlejump1980 · 05/12/2018 22:05

How about a bird box with a Wi-fi camera as a joint present for the first two?

helpmum2003 · 05/12/2018 22:05

A female relative of a similar age asked for an oilcloth zipped bag - could go Catherine Kidston - I went for this website in the end - lovely choice of fabric and bag style. Lovely quality also.

Wax melts/good quality candle
One of those telescopic magnetic things for picking up stuff that's fallen behind furniture! (Ddad that's you!!)
Picture book of where they grew up
DVDs

jocktamsonsbairn · 05/12/2018 22:08

Oh and yes to squaring it with the restaurant!

fluffums · 05/12/2018 22:08

some kind of charm / ornament / good luck charm to bring them prosperity? a long shot but soemtimes these things go down well! e.g. a waving cat statue, some can be quite cute!

Graphista · 05/12/2018 22:15

I was going to suggest Hairdresser vouchers for person one. Glad you are sorted

Lollyice · 05/12/2018 22:23

Just bought DM a Teddy Bear throw from Dunelm for her 65th birthday. My Aunty, 75 commented how lovely it was I thought I'd get her one for Christmas. Anyway, she's been online and bought 2, one for herself and one for her friend so definitely liked in your age range.
There are different colours and sizes and they feel so nice!

Stillamum3 · 05/12/2018 23:15

You said they had a favourite local restaurant. If you emailed the shop, they might do you a special voucher, just typed out, that you could give?
