Salad and pickles?

Do you think dec 21ist too early for a shop? I want to buy seafood to eat on the 24th. Only other day can actually physically go to a shop is 23rd but worried it will be chaos and all delivery slots gone from 23rd onwards.

My absolute fave - brandy baskets!

Just trying a new multi-function microwave. I rarely read instructions - silly - but this one caught my eye. "Weigh your meat and do not rely on what the shop has stated." This cooker has an automatic 'cook by weight' programme so I can tell it how much the roast beef (to be) weighs. I DID weigh it as it seemed important, particularly for beef to be done med/rare. The shop stated weight was NOT what it weighed. The value was only 20p but it annoyed me because this shop sells thousands of such packed meat and this was only a small piece. I went back to the shop and got given £1 and an apology. Suggestion to all Mums who cook meat or fish, do weigh what you are sold and DO complain if the weight is wrong - please. I do not like the idea of multiple chains making even 20p per unit they sell imagine what that could add up to.

Eggs bacon bread and milk, you will need other meals, I always plan the big meals but forget we have more people in the house for breakfasts and lunches too

I'm quite specific on my list about what veg I am getting etc and what it needs to go with (e.g. pancetta and chestnuts for sprouts) otherwise I forget it!
