Something that would cheer up my sister without being too "hippy"

My Dsis has had a crappy few months - relationship broke up, had to find somewhere else to live, awful time at work, DM didn't approve of partner, giving Dsis the silent treatment.
So I'd love to get her a positivity journal and yoga classes and calming essential oils etc. Except she'd probably roll her eyes.
Any ideas??

(I've asked her what she wants, she doesn't know)

Depending on what your sister would enjoy how about: spa treatments, tickets for a (fun!) musical or a favourite band, a weekend away with you, a subscription to a magazine she likes or a beauty box, festival tickets, a personal shopper experience with a clothing voucher etc. etc.
I realise these might be quite expensive but I’ve been guided by your suggestions. Also, I don’t think you can go wrong to be honest as even if your gift is something she might ‘roll her eyes’ at, she’s bound to be touched by all the thought and care you’ve put into choosing it.

Dig out loads of family snaps from happy times and get them made into a personalised 2019 calendar or diary. Or use images of things she loves like her favourite films and bands.
You can also buy little boxes of happiness to be delivered to her at regular times throughout the year aboxofhappiness.co.uk

What’s the budget?

Thanks for the suggestions!
Sundaygirl thanks for the reassurance that it's the thought that counts, I was kind of forgetting that, and thanks for the ideas, I especially like the beauty box idea .
RiceKrispie the box if happiness is perfect!
Blue budget is about £50

I've bought some of these for presents this year.

CloserIAm2Fine · 02/12/2018 16:18

I’ve heard good things about these www.blurtitout.org/buddybox/ and have bought a couple as gifts this year although never had one myself.

I think stuff like positivity journals, calming oils etc are great when you choose them yourself but might feel a bit odd coming from someone else unless you’re already very much into that.

Anything that encourages some self care and sensory indulgence would be good. Or something that reminds her of who she used to be can be quietly powerful after a break up- even something as simple as sweets she liked when she was a kid, or a retro toy.

I would get her a massage or other spa treatments.
