Present ideas for unknown teenage girl

Please help!!

DH school (he’s a teacher) are doing a local appeal for gifts for local children. The school have decided to get presents for teenagers as they tend to get overlooked.

We have already sorted something for a boy but we are clueless for a girl.

They are buying for 11-15 age range budget max £20, could be a few presents or just one for this amount.

We only have very young children so clueless.

Any ideas!?

Thank you!

Funky socks, gloves, hat, lovely coloured pens and a note book.

Littlechocola · 28/11/2018 10:35

I would go in boots and get a lovely set with smellies. It’s a nice treat/pick me up that some people can’t afford.

cingolimama · 28/11/2018 10:37

vouchers for H&M or Zara
Lush bath bombs
Notebooks

A pretty diary and nice pen to go with it
Nail varnish set

My local Lush is always full of teenaged girls so Id get something there.

HollowTalk · 28/11/2018 10:40

I did this last year for our local police who run a similar campaign. I went to Boots and there was an eye make up palette on offer that had mascara, eye shadow etc.

Or you could go to somewhere like New Look and ask what's popular there.

It might be boring but I agree with vouchers for boots/h&m/ASOS- tastes are so different and it's nice to have choice at that age. Even a girl who isnt into makeup or girly stuff wpuld find something there.

I assume the gifts are for underprivileged children? Little smelly sets might be nice but bear in mind for things like baths bombs to be useful the recipient will have to have a) a bathtub in the first place b) a reasonably clean bathtub and enough money on the electric/gas to heat water and c) a lock on the door which they may not have....

yy to a gift voucher, id suggest Primark as it would go further, possibly New Look or even Superdrug.

Fluffy socks, lip gloss, moisturiser, notebook - oriental themed is good, seems to be popular (boots have a range) cute pencil case, nail varnish perhaps.

Hoppinggreen · 28/11/2018 11:23

Socks
My dd has definite ideas about make up brands etc so it might be best to avoid make up and toiletries

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 28/11/2018 11:24

Superdrug voucher

Vanannabananna · 28/11/2018 16:11

Thank you all, some great ideas. I text DH and he has said they ask for no vouchers due to some going missing in previous years; thanks for telling me that before DH!

I will head into town soon I look in new boots etc for your suggestion.

Thank you for taking the time to gro me.

My teenage DSD would Love things from lush, anything zoella (boots and Superdrug) and her best ever Xmas present was a Starbucks travel mug of all things. Looks good for social media apparently 🤷🏽‍♀️

Violetparis · 28/11/2018 19:15

My daughter likes all the cosy, fluffy cushions and throws in Primark.

Vanannabananna · 03/12/2018 15:42
