Board game for DH that kids can play too?

Can anyone suggest a new board/card game that I can get my DH for Christmas? I would like one that we could play together as a couple, but also that the kids could join in with now and again. The kids are all at primary school.

Games we have and like are
Catan
Ticket to ride
Carcassonne
Scrabble
Forbidden island
Dobble
Sleeping queens
Uno
Enchanted forest

Dominion
Machi Koro
7 Wonders
Voluspa
Takenoko
King of Tokyo
Quirkle

But yes... Machi Koro is a little too cutthroat with only two players!

nellodee if you have a 7 and 9yo, maybe just go for Scythe rather than my little scythe?
My two played it from 7 and 9, and love it! My eldest is brilliant at the game.

We’re big fans of Labyrinth. Which is a great game with different ages as you can make it more/less competitive depending. Being you can all try to help each other create paths or it can be played each person for themselves.

@nellodee thanks for the recommendation for my little scythe, think that's going to be out game for Christmas day, it looks perfect for us.

Some favourites for our board game fans age 11 and 6
Machi koro (but like a previous poster mentioned, it's very cut throat for two players!)
Valarian is very like machi koro, but it's not As vicious by the end.
Splendor is my personal favourite.
Fluxx is always good fun, gets a bit hectic.
Seven wonders is good.

Another one we like is hanabi, can get a bit shouty but it's great fun
