Party games for teenage boys!

Help NMs!! I work in a boarding house with 60 teenage boys (ages 14-18) we need some games for our Christmas party! We're not talking pin the carrot on the snowman or pass the parcel though!
Someone wants to do an eating challenge - blind folded, disgusting (but edible) things...
Any ideas appreciated!! They're a good, fun bunch.
Thanking you in advance!

Craps (I think that's what it's called) - place a pint glass or other container at one end of the room. Place a 2p piece between the buttocks. Waddle across the room clutching buttocks together, and deposit said 2p in pint glass.

Chocolatecake12 · 27/11/2018 15:10

You could do pass the parcel with a challenge in each layer such as
Sing humpty dumpty, recite the Alphabet backwards, do a charade,
I’m sure you can think of others!

Annandale · 27/11/2018 15:17

Charades
The drawing game - ie pictionary as it used to be. One game master has a list of things to guess, can be anything, objects, movies, phrases, whatever. 2 or more teams, 2 or more rooms, the game master sits between them somewhere. Paper and pens in each room. On GO one person in each team sprints to the game master, gets the first item, goes back to their team and draws it. No talking or sounds by the drawer. The team guess as many times as they like. When they get it, another person sprints to the game master. First team to get through the whole list wins. Check the running routes for hazards and either go for shoes or bare feet, socks= A&E visit as everyone goes like the clappers.

Yep - chocolate game - throw dice, if you throw a 6 put on hat, gloves, scarf, and start to attack bar of choc with knife and fork. Dice keeps being passed on, so as soon as someone else throws a six you have to relinquish items to next person.

After 8 game - after 8 on forehead - you have to wiggle face, eyebrows etc to make choc travel from forehead to mouth without using hands. This can be a team game - doing it in a relay, if it drops off face you have to put it back on forehead.

And for when you wish to gratefully hide in a corner ....
Cards Against Humanity

halcyondays · 27/11/2018 15:36

Nelson's eye game, you're blindfolded and have to put your hands into bowls of stuff that are supposed to be Nelson's eye, intestines etc.

PandaG · 27/11/2018 15:40

Marble race - tray, upturned plant pot with a hole in the bottom big enough for a marble to fit through. Race to spoon (with a wooden spoon) marbles through the hole into the plant pot. Have a 30 sec or 1 minute timer.

Candle game. If you can trust hem to be sensible - how many times can they light a candle with only one match, blowing it out in between times.
Row of pegs on a line. How many can you unpeg and hold in one hand without dropping any - only use one hand.

Malteser game - bowl of Maltesers, second bowl a metre or so away, a straw. Transfer maltesers from one bowl to the other by sucking on the straw.

Strawberry lace race - one end of lace in mouth, race to eat it by slurping up and not using hands.

All the above silly games/races, but can split into teams and nominate players for each game, allocating points to teams if you want a bit more competition.

For my dds birthday we did ‘minute to win it’ games. There’s loads on Pinterest but just a few we did were:

*Junk in the trunk (I think you can actually buy ‘twerk oing’ kits now but we tied tissue boxes round their waists with ping pong balls in and they had to dance and twerk and first with all the balls out of the tissue box won)
*sloding Oreos from forehead to mouth
*kid friendly version of ‘beer’ pong (we used tokens to collect rather than any drink)
*oven mitt game (google this one for instructions, but very funny)
*skittles with tights tied round waist with a tennis ball in the bottom, and knocking the skittles over by swinging waist

They also liked winning a prize by sliding coins towards it and the closest won.

There’s loads more games like this which are actually really cheap to do, just google for ideas. My 16yo dd and her friends still like games like pie face, charades, catchphrases and the guessing game with post it’s on their heads too. They may be growing up, but they still like playing and being daft too!

Exploding Kittens is great fun

WeirdCatLady · 27/11/2018 17:31

Obama llama?

adultcat · 27/11/2018 18:00

Ooh, I'm loving these ideas! Thank you everyone!
They're a fairly sensible bunch however think I'd have to keep away from naked flames :o
Just been reading some of the ideas out to our Prefects and they like the sound of them!!

Donut race. Each ring donut tied on its own short string and strings all tied to one long string held between two people. On go, hands behind back and have to eat suspended donuts with just mouths. Some will be adept and others will have donuts swinging everywhere and sugar all over their faces. Run heats with strings of 10 or do.

There's a game we used to play with an empty cereal box. You start with it full size and bend down, legs straight, to pick it up in your mouth.

Then you tear a strip off the top and repeat. So it's basically like limbo dancing. The one who can pick up, with his teeth, the smallest piece, wins.

Serin · 27/11/2018 21:40

Bad santa! Wrap up a load of silly presents/chocolate bars.
Take turns to roll a dice.
6 wins a present, unwrap it and sit with it in front of you.
1 allows you to steal someone else's present.
Agree beforehand how long you will play or stop when all the prizes have gone.

That quiz where they all answer with their phones is good! is it called Cahoots?

Stompythedinosaur · 27/11/2018 21:52

For an eating challenge - I ran a game (for students) where they were blindfolded and had a spoon placed in their mouth and had to identify what was on the spoon (3 things per spoon). It meant I could avoid anything not clearly edible but still have some unpleasant combinations (e.g. cheese, salt and ketchup or lemon juice, ham and chilli sauce).

wanderings · 01/12/2018 19:16

Here's one that can be hilarious, but might work better with small teams, rather than the whole group at once. Some people in the group are blindfolded, and told that a small object is hidden in the room. Those who are blindfolded take turns to ask questions about where it is hidden, which can only be answered with yes or no. Those who can see are shown a card with the answer, sworn to secrecy, and take turns to reply to the questions. The trick is that whatever they are trying to locate is hidden somewhere very difficult to guess, such as inside someone's blindfold!

If they don't get close after say twenty questions, get the person hiding the prize to move about, and tell them to ask if they are hot or cold. When they are always "hot", that gives them a clue!

You have to remind those answering the questions not to give hints or prompts; a penalty for answering other than "yes" or "no" can be to join the blindfolded side. Only the person organising the game is allowed to give hints.

Villanellesproudmum · 01/12/2018 19:21

Sainsbury’s is selling edible insects might be good for the eating game!

Rachie1986 · 01/12/2018 19:26

Get a tin of quality streets or similar and a dice.
Everyone gets 8 sweets to start in a bag. 10mins on timer.
Take it in turns to roll dice.
1 means pass one of your sweets to person on left
2 means same but to right
3 means put a sweet in the middle if the group
4 means put 2 sweets in middle
5 means swap your bag with someone of your choice
6 means take all the sweets in the middle and put in your bag

When timer goes you keep whatever you've got.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 01/12/2018 19:30

Split them into teams, and designate one team member as the mummy, and the others to wrap the mummy using loo roll as bandages - neatest mummy wins.

Famous Faces quiz - people from popular culture, politics, history, film characters etc - print out pictures, number them and people go round and see how many they can list correctly.

Chubby bunnies - the player puts a marshmallow in their mouth and, without chewing or swallowing it, says ‘Chubby bunnies’ as clearly as possible. Puts in a second one with the first - says it again - aim - to see how many they can have in their mouth and still say Chubby bunnies clearly.

junebirthdaygirl · 01/12/2018 19:34

I like the quality street one..must try that.
Another one:
Everyone sits in a circle with one in the centre. He says l have never ever ..and names something..eg been to disneyland/ tried a cigarette/ ate lobster etc...Anyone who HAS done that jumps up and moves to a different seat. One will be left standing so he goes..l have never ever..etc on it goes. If they think of possibilities quickly and the wierder the better its a good laugh.
