Our son's lovely partner is a very strict Vegan . So no wool, silk, leather as well as the obvious food no-nos. I am trying to think of something around the £20 - 30 region, as their main present will be the family ski trip.

She has plenty of vegan cook books, I have previously given her vegan bath stuff etc, so want to ring the changes, her main hobby is climbing but she seems well equipped for that and she has plenty of ski gear.

There must be something!

Try a bag from madebyscavenger.com . They make products using recycled climbing ropes so a nod to her interests but equally a beautiful handmade product.

Bamboo, beautiful scarves on that site! Could be the answer. Thank you, also Potcalling .

Annandale , I am sure you are right, maggots and all sorts.

I'm vegan but not evangelical about it, I hope I don't give anyone headaches thinking of presents for me! Nothing vegan-focussed...makeup (illamasqua is a cruelty free brand if that's important to her),nice stationary, socks, a bag, books, tickets to a show, ect the list is endless
I'd ask your son what she wants tbh.

Blanche - it’s like if you take up tennis and suddenly everything anyone gets you is tennis themed, when you really want an eyeshadow palette and a good read Grin I think buying presents generally is hard, especially under pressure.

Any Superdrug own brand toiletries are cruelty free, must give another heads up to BOOJA BOOJA CHOCS SO EXPENSIVE BUT DELICIOUS !
Also M&S are selling their own brand choc & coconut liqueur [like Bailey's] which is vegan and only £6 .

Blanche, yes I have asked my son, of course. He was of such little help that I thought I would get more sense from MN. Which I have done.

I’ve just had exactly the same with a family member! She’s an eco warrior, non drinking, sugar free vegan. She’s bloody lovely and going through some awful stuff at the moment. I’ve bought her a couple of books that I know she’ll be interested in plus I’m going to get her some high end vegan / ethical shower stuff.

Another thing I’d considered was a recycled metal water bottle with her name on it which might sound a bit utilitarian but we’re all trying to give sustainable, useful presents.

We are a fun family, honest! Grin

How about bamboo clothing? I only say this because I have some bamboo socks on at the moment. I don't know who got me them but they're so comfy and soft. I know my brother has a bamboo tee shirt too and he raves about that.

I got a really nice reusable water bottle last year and loved it Smile

Named water bottle another excellent idea.

Hotel Chocolat do a vegan chocolate hamper. There’s £5 off £25 at the moment with code: SHOPHY (or £10 off if you spend £50)
