Hi has anyone made their own or seen them in the supermarkets cheaply?

I've seen them online but they are so expensive.

Thank you xx

I usually make a pile and keep them in a box in the fridge for fancy hot chocolates over christmas

I have a Spoon Mould which is hugely easy to use.

I melt plain, white and milk chocolate and just put daubs in until the moulds are full, let them set and turn them out.

Thank you everyone.

How do you melt the chocolate? Do you do it in a bowl over a pan or can you put the chocolate and moulds in the microwave?

I have an Aldi near me but not a Lidl x

Home bargains usually have some.

I've also got a spoon mould and microwave is fine.

I have bought spoons and little gift bags from Amazon and was planning on doing my own. Also got some mini chocolate penguins from John Lewis to go on top. I just heat milk in the microwave and stir the chocolate in the hot milk until it melts x

i melt mine in glass bowls in the microwave, if you get bars from lidl/aldi it's decent enough chocolate for this sort of thing

I chop it all up quite finely, and then put about two thirds of each into its bowl and into the microwave to melt....watch the white chocolate like a hawk as it's easily overheated
Once what is in the bowls is melted and stirred, add in the last one third and stir until that has melted, this effectively tempers the chocolate which means your spoons will have a really lovely shine and not look dull like ordinary bar chocolate.

DD got the Lidl ons one year but we didn’t like them very much. You need really hot milk to melt it, it takes ages and the taste is not that good in my opinion.

We had proper Belgian chocolate ones from Bruges one year, I still wasn’t impressed with the whole concept but the taste was a lot better.
