Presents for teenager girls

I have to buy presents for three teenager girls - 19, 18 and 17. I am really struggling with the ideas. The budget is £60-70 each. Please share your ideas. Thank you.

have a look here. it is cheaper than what you specified but all the stuff is lovely. link

I know it seems boring, but at that age I absolutely loved getting nice make up. Depending on if they're into make up or not, something like one of the Urban Decay eyeshadow palette's or a couple of Mac lipsticks since your budget it quite high.

Angelinthenight · 18/11/2018 12:07

Id say make up too selfridges to nice eye pallets by morphe ,i love mac but these pallets are nice at .£22 my husband has got me another for xmas. The best mac lipsticks are velvet teddy, brave, mere & faux alk kinda nude types, ive added pic's in order. Or mac voucher if u dont know what to kinda choose.cant go wrong with make up x

Find out their interests. As a teen I found make up completely non interesting and at 43 I still do. At that high budget please find out what they would actually like to have rather than getting something random.

babasaclover · 18/11/2018 12:30

What about an experience? Something from
Virgin

thebookeatinggirl · 18/11/2018 12:36

I'd also say find out a bit about what they want too.
My nearly 16 DD wouldn't be bothered by make-up. But for that sort of money she'd love a new hockey stick, or new headphones, or decent quality watercolour paints or other art materials (GCSE Art) or a top quality gaming mouse. Her friends' lists would be very different.

I know it's deemed boring but there's always a gift voucher (DD surprisingly said John Lewis - she's becoming her mothers daughter).

ghostsandghoulies · 18/11/2018 13:25

There's a huge variation between teens. If you don't know them well, cash or a voucher like Amazon would be safest as it would cater for all interests and tastes.

Buttercupsandaisies · 18/11/2018 13:38

Most teens I know are obsessed with Victoria secret - they have an offer on at end of the month -spend £60 and get free pjs worth £50. Do they need gym wear, hoodys, smellies?

bookmum08 · 18/11/2018 14:43

Victoria's Secret! Really? The teenage girls of that age I know would want things like
Camping gear for festivals
Art Stuff
Things for car
Books
Equipment for Dance Classes

Just ask them what they want. Why are you spending such a high amount of money on girls you don't know?

Inniu · 18/11/2018 14:46

If they like make up the James Charles palette from morphe would probably be welcome.

Fstar · 18/11/2018 15:54

Beauty bay has a sale on, lots of great brush sets, make up etc
Large ted baker set on sale at blots just now, great for those ages
Vic secret pjs, bodycare, pink shower gels and scrubs
Nice candle
Hot iron holster if they have hair tools
Highly recommend too faced makeup sets too from debenhams

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/11/2018 16:34

Victoria's Secret! Really?
VS Pink for teens (rather than VS). Yes its ££ but the TShirts are really soft, underwear usually on special offer, my DD has a couple of the tops and leggings that are really nice.
Bit heavy on the labelling though (huge PINK logo)

The PJs this year are a bit meh

If you do buy make-up though , have they any allergies or ethical preferences (like Cruelty Free) ?

bookmum08 · 18/11/2018 17:26

Well this could be an embarrassing gift giving moment if these girls are interested in paint balling, skateboards, hiking or collecting model trains. Why is everyone suggesting make up? Boring? Or maybe great? But unless you know what these girls are into..

titchy · 18/11/2018 17:34

My 19 year olds getting Gin.... Grin

fanomoninon · 18/11/2018 17:40

Yes, I agree with others suggesting you need to find out a bit about their interests/preferences - £60 is too much to spend if you have literally no idea if they love anime and baking; calligraphy and karate, or lipgloss and woodcarving. Huge opportunity to get it badly wrong. Most teens are fairly tribal with their brands - my two would not be impressed with VS Pink

BearSoFair · 18/11/2018 18:45

Definitely best to try and find out what they're into. DS1's girlfriend is 17 and has absolutely zero interest in make up, I don't think she even owns any! Her interests are calligraphy, animation, and anything relating to Harry Potter.

jocktamsonsbairn · 18/11/2018 19:18

At this age I'd give them the cash and a selection box with a note telling them to enjoy the money with the proviso that it must be spent on something they would love but wouldn't/couldn't afford to buy themself. It could pay for a concert, experience, make up, whatever they are into.

RJnomore1 · 18/11/2018 19:21

There's a really good glamglow skincare set in boots Black Friday for £29. £25 gift voucher of your choice and a box of sweets and bingo.

I agree makeup isn't for every teen but skincare should be universal (boys and girls!) and I'm going to get flamed for that aren't I 😂

LizzieMacQueen · 18/11/2018 20:34

If you don't mind giving vouchers, Pull & Bear is popular with teenage girls I believe.

Stompythedinosaur · 18/11/2018 20:41

If you don't know their interests then I would give them cash. There's nothing worse of spending a good chunk of money on something they don't want.

ja9r · 18/11/2018 21:49

I just bought a scentsy for my preteen. Cost £24. Plus wax melts. A wax melt you plug in like a nightlight.

ja9r · 18/11/2018 21:51

Also, a chilly's bottle...

EvaHarknessRose · 18/11/2018 21:59

I might be chanelling my dad here, but what about a useful tool set?

Bangwhistlepop2 · 18/11/2018 22:01

Google mini home smart speaker £29 at Ao.com

Google smart speaker

Bangwhistlepop2 · 18/11/2018 22:02

Or John Lewis vouchers and they can buy exactly what they want.
